Ok, I use a local internet company for for DSL. Currently I am running 802.1b router. I am set up for supposedly 3mg connection from my I.P. I'm getting just over 2mg. Can I purchase a new 802.1g put new wireless g cards in my laptops and have a faster connection?

Thank you

I dont think a g card works on a b system but a b card will work with a g system.

Thats what i was told anyways. Why wireless? No matter how you lock it down (passphrase, Mac Lockouts) I find some a-hole doing a network driveby will hack in.

Its better to just hardwire your house.
