I know dude. Just want to read the alternatives. Those are the interesting explanations after all, not like our boring ones.

I personally gamble an antenna.

Did they have Rovers back in the 60's??????
Also it looks too far away to be part of the expedition

TW....the lunar rovers were under development in the 1960s....the first apollo mission it was on was apollo 15 in july of 1971....then apollos 16 and 17 as well....since this was the lift off of the apollo 16 lunar departure it could be the one from apollo 15 or the one from apollo 16

Ok,, Zoomed, cropped, and enhanced and then one with a negative filter..
Keep in mind that there probably is a bit of blurring as the camera is tilting upwards..

i dont kno too much bout the apollo missions so here are some questions.....1.how did they gert the tape if the astronauts launched off in the module in the first part of the film? 2.how is the camera rotating? 3. howcome the camera is rotating and viewing absolutely nothing yet it goes right past the anomaly? peace and love

1) The astronauts had placed a small camera on a small rover..(as it seems to move)...to film the lift off.

2) the camera is on a pivot allowing it to move in a circle.

3) the camera was probably on a rudimentery computer program so it did not stop....that and the anomoly was probably nothing more than the lunar rover that was left behind

Motion blur from the camera tilting upwards.. or are you just being sarcastic?
The footage quality isn't all that great to work from... I guess I don't understand
your query or misconception...

1. There was no tape, the recording was made on earth. How did the live TV coverage of the landings get sent if there was a reliance on tape? Have you heard of the phenomenon of radio waves and how they enable light speed communication and transmission of other information? They have been known about since the 19th century so I suggest you catch up.

2. The camera was under remote operation by a human in mission control.

3. You are assuming that the camera operator did not know what it was and would therefore be intent on looking at it at that time. He had probably seen it before and would have known what it was. There is also a delay between his instructions and the camera's response. There is a 2.6 light-second round trip between the earth and the moon. What he was seeing was delayed 1.3 seconds. His instructions would be delayed by a further 1.3 seconds.

What we see in the image cannot be the LRV, because the camera itself is mounted on the LRV.

Simple really because it's Apollo 16, not Apollo 11 which was the first on the Moon

Apollo 16 was the tenth manned mission in the Apollo program and the fifth mission to land on the Moon.

As Andrew says the camera is on the rover and being controlled from Mission Control.

Maybe it is one of the last or previous sensors left on the Moon to measure the distance to Earth or some other type of apparatus for scientific analysis of some type.

I know that scientists measure the distance of Earth to the Moon regularly from an instrument left by one of the Apollo missions (don't know which one) by using lasers.

I remember listening to the scientist who does the measurements (from Mt. Palomar I believe). Funny Not One person who claims we did not go to the Moon ever Interviewed him. He said he wish they did and was expecting them.

He said man had to put the equipment together back then to get it right. It couldn't have been done remotely. He said he would have told them man had to go to the Moon to do this.:applause: :astronaut

Doubt that interview would have made it to the DVD about the Moon Hoax.

Edit:
I just wanted to add that this is the first time I have seen footage scanning the Moon after the LEM leaves. That was great. If only the quality could be better. I wish they would show more videos like this. They should have at least been able to do it for the last one Apollo 17.
