What's HETAP? Why, it's "Hypothetical, Extraterrestrial Animals and Planets." Well, what's that? It's my latest project. I shall create 4 different, hypothetical planets and make lifeforms that exist in those planets. The planets: Fervens Terra-Latin for "hot earth." It is hotter planet than Earth, yet has diverse ecosystems. It's about 342 K(about 157 Ferenheit) at it's coldest and 367 K(202 F) at the hottest. Nongravis Terra-Latin for "not heavy earth." It is a planet who's gravity is less than that of Earth. It's temperature is slightly cooler than Earth's. Pergravis Terra-Latin for "very heavy earth." Unlike Nongravis, it is a planet who's gravity is higher than Earth's. It's temperature is slightly warmer than Earth's. Gelidus Terra-Latin for "cold earth." It is colder than Earth. At it's warmest the temperature is 281 K(about 47 F), and it's coldest it's 112 K(-258 F). Anyone wanting to assist me, or cheer me on, is quite welcome. I doubt that this is a feat that I can do absolutely alone. Note, that I am in few ways a laymen. I am very capable at science, especially astrobiology, biology(well, not so much as others), astronomy, physics(eh. Just a little knack with physics.), evolutionary science, and astrophysics(well, basics), all of which would help me greatly in this particular project. But, then again, I'm only 16 in my Sophomore year. BTW, sorry, no Grays. I'm making this more realistic. All updates will be edited into the first post. The planet Fervens Terra and some info on it. Planet#1: Fervens Terra Planet name: Fervens Terra
Parent star: Vivificus Estus 1 Mass: 1.00201 eM Mean distance: 0.816 AU Sidereal rotation period: 24.00007 eHrs Orbital period: 227.865 eDys Eccentricity: 0.0156 System age: 4.3 billion eYrs Planet appearence: Slightly thicker atmosphere than Earth, and consists mostly of of He, N, Ar, and 113 other elements. Ve (Vendrediam), Vv (Vivrium), Vi (Virkium), Ze (Zeltiem), Dr (Drixium), and Fg (Fergenium) are not found on Earth. Estimated mean temperature: 287 K (56.93 Fd) Ecosystem of Fervens #1: Severus Desert Ecosystem name: Severus Desert
Ecosystem type: hot desert Human habititability: 2/10. Too hot, and very little O2 and water. Space suit and water needed. Climate: Arid Rainfall: 2-3cm/yr Area: 10.5 million km^2 Vegetation: slightly scarce-scarce Vegetation type: liquid storage, carnivorous Winds: 25-67km/hr Taxonomy of the first animal of Fervens: Aquacoleus spinadorsum Taxonomic name: Aquacoleus spinadorsum
(A. spinadorsum) Meaning: "water sack" "spined back" Domain: Extra-Eukaryote, "outer Eukaryote" Kingdom: Extra-Animalia, "outer animal" Phylum: Pararthropoda, "like arthropods(arthropod= "jointed foot")" Class: Duodecipoda, "12 foot" Order: Prolixcorpus, "long body" Family: Nonextollo, "not upright" Genus: Aquacoleus, "large sack" Species: spinadorsum, "spined back" Common name: Spineback Well, for now, that is all. |

Interesting.
What purpose are you trying to serve with this? What caused you to want to do this? What do you base you ideas after? |

(SOUL-DRIFTER;286770) Interesting. Thank you. What purpose are you trying to serve with this? Hmmm... Good question... I guess there is no purpose, besides having a little fun. What caused you to want to do this? My interest in these kinds of things. Plus, I've been kinda bored lately. What do you base you ideas after? On the workings of evolution. A species would evolve different;y on a hotter planet than Earth. Basicly, I'm basing my ideas on evolution and biology. |

Have you read any material or watch any programs where scientist give their view of what some alien life may look like?
I believe Animal Planet did a show on this. |

I believe Animal Planet did a show on this. Yes. Both the one on Animal Planet and National Geographical(the one on Aniaml Planet was more impressive, in my opinion.). ^Could you please elaborate on your question a little? |
