On the way home from Calgary last night, I saw a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) of some kind. My dad said "Look at the lights off to the left!" I looked and there was a bright yellowish/whitish flash every second or so, moving to the west. It must have been going about 1,000 km/h. It kept moving in that direction until it was out of sight. Some kind of plane, maybe? I don't know. It was one of the strangest things I have ever seen.

Here's a diagram to represent what I saw:

First there would be a flash at #1, then almost one second later, a flash at #2. A second later, at #3, etc. It obviously was an object moving at an insane speed and flashing every second or so. And this was no small area of light. The flashes were quite huge... They seemed to be about 2,000 square feet. I didn't see any type of craft, just the light. I was listening to the Calgary Flames game on the radio, and the radio was screwing up a little bit before the incident. I doubt it has anything to do with the UFO, though.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

Unidentified light could just be a aircraft strobelight seen under unusual conditions.

I'm sorry...Welcome to the forum.
I've seen ordinary craft, look very odd, when seen under unusual conditions(atmospheric).
