Some of the replys on their suggest their Birds or somthing...

I think it's a flock of starlings - they are legendary for gathering like that in Britain.....they really are a spectacular sight....cool video.

Yep Ben is right but its a wonderful video.
This reminds me of about 10 years ago when something exactly like that happened in my estate. Thousands of starlings and they all landed, everyone, and I mean everone came out to see. It was like the birds!, when they all took off it looked like a big morphing cloud just like that. |

We have black birds here in the U S that do that toward fall, just before they migrate south.
That is a huge flock, there. I do not believe they get that big here. Good video. |

Starlings definitely. I saw a documentary by Bill Oddie on this once. He reckoned that there could be up to half a million in a flock like that. They look like they're flying in formation but, apparently, when one makes a movement, his mate next to him does the same and it has a chain reaction. It acts as like a defence mechanism.
