The other night I visited with an old high school friend that I haven't seen for a while. We were pretty close in high school but drifted apart due to moving and growing up and having families of our own.
anyway... We talked about all kinds of stuff and the topic of UFO's came up. He says to me, we may know the truth about stuff like that sooner than you'd expect. My ears perked up as he tells me he has an Uncle that works for CSIS. CSIS is Canada's Spy Agency, basically our version of the CIA. They are getting very worried about North Korea and some of the threats they are makeing against the West if we keep squeezing them. So I say what does this have to do with UFO's. He says that the US knows they HAVE to do something about them but they can't underestimate them. They are not a backwards little country like Iraq. They have the capability of causing an all out nuclear war which spells disaster for everyone. His Uncle told him that when the Alias (Basically the US) go in, and they will go in, people will be asking, "what the hell was that"? He says his Uncle can't tell him details, but they will need to explain to the public where/when/how/who developed this thing. I know this is another "my uncle/friend of mine" story. I don't know what to make of it. I know we were close in high school and he has nothing to gain from making it up. I guess only time will tell, it does sure look like NK is gonna cause some trouble, but will we see something new in the sky, I don't know. I personally am a bit skeptic. Just wanted to pass on what I was told... |

The one problem I have with this is Korea does not have the capability to start an all out nuclear war.

if true you can look at it this way, dose china know about it? it would be easy for china to walk ther happy asses in tot he NK and take them out, really think about it, china has a army that just as storng at the USA's, and russua is working with iran to make there nuke program work, could there be somthing there, russus, china, NK and iran working togeather, is china and russua protecting NK so iran can test ther nukes in NK and push a front that iran is doing peaceful suff in there country. this may not be ture, but if russua and china where working togeather to what dose that say for every one, then what how dose hezboula fit into all? what is to take heat off iran for a little bit.

Because North Korea does not have the capabilities to produce large amounts of fissionable materials, and I doubt they have many fusion bombs either... |

Like what? They are running a bluff, trying to scare folks in the West, and apparently it's working. You really think China wants a nation that hostile to it's biggest consumer markets less than a hundred or two miles from one of it's major manufacturing and industrial centers? |

its a win win for china, who cares if NK go under, really, if NK gose down then china gets a better teade, china dont want war, what better then trying to stop a war form coming and trying to keep NK out of the fire, its a litte work on china part but - testing the UN and USA and staying out of a war works wonderful for china, and china dose go to war russa is right there. NK is something that china could care less about. now the othere hand we have china that could be making there own nukes, and useing NK as front, china dose not want war, but what iis really going one behind every thing.

What does China gain from hostility with the Western markets? China is much more worried about economic dominance, not starting a new Cold War...

Kudos to China for playing the game very deftly.
All the pariah states in the world that Americans hate are getting support, money and technology from the Chinese. Pakistan, North Korea, Venezeula and Iran. The United States is pinned down in nearly every major dispute. It has made the sole superpower of the world into a lame duck, as China continues to secure its oil, gas, raw minerals and infleunce in every corner of the world where the united states is hated. |

Heh heh, they said that during the early Fifties, by 1962, China and the Soviet Union saw each other as bigger threats to each other than the United States posed... |

And the Soviet Union collapsed under it's own dead and rotting infrastructure... And that's why China doesn't want to alienate the West, Europe and America are the best markets on the planet for manufactured goods... |

But the Chinese and the Russians have always been territorial, political, and economic rivals... Those are two nations that have a deep-seeded rivalry, and often worked with the US during the cold war and after the Cold War to hurt each other... Russia would not defer to China, and vice versa... And frankly, Russia has quite a few problems within it's own borders to heal before it goes out and starts throwing it's weight around in foreign affairs, the former Soviet Republics now independent excluded... |
