 Many modern musicians have had encounters with UFOs, and sometimes the subject is incorporated in their song lyrics. Here is a list of some of those musicians (from the book "Alien Rock" by Michael C. Luckman):

ACE FREHLEY (formerly of the band KISS)

Ace claimed that he filmed a UFO landing on his estate in Westchester County, New York, in an area that has long been a UFO hot spot. Ace said that the flying saucer left a circular burn mark in his garden twenty-seven feet in diameter.

SAMMY HAGAR (formerly of the band VAN HALEN)

Sammy, former front man for Van Halen, claims not only to have had repeated contacts with extraterrestrials, but also thinks he knows where they originate. Sammy said that in 1968 ha had an "unbelievable experience" in Fontana, California. "I'm a firm believer that I have seen, have felt, been contacted (by space aliens) two or three different times," Sammy told 'Guitar World' magazine. "I have reviewed information that has been valuable in my life from those people, and they have used me in an experimental fashion."

OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN

Australian singer Olivia Newton-John, universally loved for her starring role in the musical film "Grease," encountered a shape-shifting UFO in 1974. She and her friend were riding in a car on a desolate road. Olivia suddenly had a weird sensation that something was nearby. "It was a prickly feeling, rather than static electricity," she recalled. She looked around and couldn't see anything. Then something she couldn't explain made her look up into the clear sky. "I was stunned by what I saw," said Newton-John. "The object seemed fairly small at first, but increased in size with amazing speed. It was brilliant silver, yet seemed occasionally to glow with the halo of different colors. It moved at a terrific pace and seemed to change direction very quickly. It would hover motionless for a while like a bright star, before moving across the sky again. The shape changed as I watched. First it was triangular, then it changed into a ball." Before her highly unusual encounter Olivia didn't believe in UFOs, but she does now. Her only regret is that someone else didn't come along "to share the experience with us."

DAVE DAVIES (formerly of the band the KINKS)

Dave said that he was telepathically contacted by extraterrestrials in 1982. Dave has had other rock musicians coming to him seeking answers to their questions about alien encounters. He favors rock musicians joining forces in an attempt to contact entities who are not of this Earth, but are nurturers of our planet.

ELVIS PRESLEY

At the exact moment of Elvis' birth, a mysterious blue UFO hovered over the house where the birth took place in Tupelo, Mississippi. In a conversation in 1975, Vernon Presley told his son Elvis, "As I looked around, son, I noticed something strange. The whole area around the house was lit up with a blue light. It seemed to surround the house. And just at that moment, the wind stopped blowing. It was so still you could hear a pin drop."

DAVID BOWIE

Contacting aliens proved to be David's real-life obsession in the 1970s. "My mother saw her first flying saucer," said David, standing nearly naked backstage during the opening of the D. A. Pennebaker film "Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars".....
In his song "I Took A Trip On A Gemini Spacecraft," David sings:

"Two or three flying saucers
Parked under the stars
The winding stream
Moon shining down
On some little town
And with each beam
The same old dream."

MARC BOLAN (of the band T.REX)

Countless T.Rex songs (written by Marc Bolan) refer to flying saucers and outer space, including "The Visit," "Ballrooms of Mars," "Space Boss," "Galaxy," and "Interstellar Soul." In "Planet Queen," Marc sings:

"Planet Queen
Perchance to dream
She used my head
Like an exploder
The Planet Queen.

The world's the same
I am to blame
She used my head
Like a revolver
The world's the same.

Well, it's all right
Love is what you want
Flying saucer take me away
Give me your daughter....."

John Lennon sat next to URi Guiller on a plane and as he told Uri about his UFO sighting they watched a UFO on the plane.

Jimi Hendrix while filming Rainbow Bridge on the island Of Maui in 1970-ufos were seen and one huge one as it drifted over the area where the concert was going to be the camera-man on a perch while watching it through the video fell off a perch and almost broke his leg.

Jimi told some people nearby where they were from....an Asteriod belt off Mars...

Jimi Hendrix has a few songs talking about UFOs...

One from memory states something like- blah blah woof woof-and they came and took all the dead away...

Then there was the actual band called UFO...
