Today is election day, so that is one thing we can do--GO VOTE!!!!

If you really want to say drive home the message that both parties are doing a poor job then vote 3rd party.

Except for there is a hitch here... thenighfox isn't American and so can't vote there anyway... and even for a New Zealander which he is, if I remember correctly his age, tho I could be wrong, he is way under voting age...

In some countries like here in Australia, voting is compulsory and not voluntary, for all who are Australian citizens and over 18. Not sure, but I think maybe it's the same in NZ. ???

Sorry, Dingo, that was presumptious of me. I sincerely apologize to you Nightfox. I didn't realize from his public profile that he was from New Zealand or his age.

It's just that he asks the questions what are you doing about the government.

There are three courses of action: nothing, vote, or extreme political violent insurrection. I was just pointing out the most actively peaceful.

Thanks, Castle!

Although political participation doesn't end at the ballot box, (here in the U.S.) we have to take time to see how our senators, representatives, governors, city officials are performing and mail in the occassional complaint as well as compliments when they do something right!!!!

Nothing to apologise for... I only know that info because we have been following his posts and it's just one of those things you either occassionally remember what a person says or you don't... my memory ain't nothing to rave about so in some aspects I could be right off key though..... And yup, you really can't tell by a profile unless the person fills it in...

There are three courses of action: nothing, vote, or extreme political violent insurrection.
Yup and it's great I reckon to post and say stuff like that because we do have some younger members here who are still learning the ways of how the system works. But interesting how voting is voluntary in some countries and compulsory in others... Wondering why that be?

Thank you so much for bringing this up!!!!

It should remind those that live where voting is voluntary realize that it is a priviledge that should not be taken for granted.

LOL... Lovely... this is kinda funny.... I think.... if you are too lazy to bother to read the entire thing, which incidently is not that long at all... then how can you know how far it has gone with these people in this thread? Has it occurred to you that maybe these people have gone all the way this time...

Weird all this barking up trees... ohmy.gif

Yeah, this isn't an Anti Government establishment. I can't speak for thos outside the US, but in the US, the Government is the "People" with some secret groups with in. If enough people demand, then usually information is released. I think pretty much all of us Are peaceful protesters. What are you looking for, some kind of Anarchy site?:alien:
