Because seth like it says in the caption this forum is also for all 'animal' posts as well as crypto and so the poster chose this forum I expect.....

We will be redwording the caption soon to make this more clear because the butterflies aren't an animal as such....

Insects are animals to the extent that they're not plants, fungi or bacteria, yes.

lol well well.... I screwed that up good and proper didn't I? I didn't mean it to sound quite like that... Serves me right for posting in a rush...

What I meant was more that we need a clearer clarification in the speel and a title change possibly so that people understand exactly what that forum is about...

Smack me now for I have sinned... better still let me come up against Ben's spider plant...
Hope it ain't deadly... ohmy.gif

I just thought that the science thread was a better place for that because when you fist look at the thread you see cryptozoology and it can be misleading.

my bad I guess

Nah... not your bad... you are right in that logically it would fit better in science... but with this forum having it's main emphasis on things alien and paranormal etc we discovered ages ago that quite a few animal threads overlap with cryto. Example is determing if a black cat is a household cat or a crypto one or if a 'mystery' creature (which may or may not be a crypto type creature) has been found... So for management reasons it became easier to have animal threads in crypto.

But yeah... the title and description does need to be reworded for better clarification...
