My skin (face) is starting to look old. No wrinkles yet, the complexion just looks duller and less healthy to me. Any advice?

skin peals. anti aging creams. find the fountain of youth? I think I still have a young face for a 41 year old, but my hands are getting wrinkly and I'm just now starting to get some age spots. Roll with it. It's not worth stressing over. You had a good youth, i'm sure.

had? i'm only 27. if my youth is already over that means i'm probably going to live to be old for more than twice as long as i was young.

Well, according to MTV, You're washed up as a performer these days if you're under the age of 25. Most sports stars don't make it past 32. So yeah, You're older much longer then younger. You hit your prime at 23 and for women I think it's 19. After that, things sag and bulge. So, Youth goes fast. Live it while you can.

Don't stress it too much. Didn't you hear? 30's the new 20 according to Jay-Z. lol....

There are ways to keep looking young if you want to. Exercise, proper nutrition. Staying current with hairstyles and clothing is an important factor if you are worrying about looking young. If you are wearing your hair styled like someone in the 80's then you can tell you are older. If you are wearing tight pants and flannel then yo can tell your era was the mid 90's grunge. Its important to be yourself and what you are comfortable in but at least keep up to date.

You serious? What are you going to do when you hit 50? I would say you have some choices to make;

1-by preparation h ointment for hemmeroids and smear it all over your face;
2-get collagen treatements
3-get plastic surgery
4-be grateful nothing is really wrong, maybe volunteer with a severe burn victim to get some perspective.

Did our ancestors worry about this? I know the Egyptions were into finding ways to look younger. But somehow I can't picture Cowboys in the West or the first settlers of Australia worrying about age spots and wrinkles. I'm wondering if all this vanity was the reason Rome and Egypt failed. When they worried more about how one another looked and became apathetic about the real issues of life. Just let it sag!:surrender

Well I'm only 22, but I reccommend vitamins including Flax seed oil, anything with omega-3s, small ammounts of sunlight, SPFs, moisterizers, masks, and age-refining type cremes. Plus, a healthy diet & excercise.

Fish, fruit. I mean to eat, dont go rubbin a haddock on Your face. People may talk :laugh:. But I'd go with Fish and fruit for helping with that whole age thing.

Yeah, flax seed oil is no joke. I take a tbsp. every night. It has alot of good benefits. Its good for the old ticker and it clears any inflamed area ive noticed. Acne also goes away and it promotes the loss of bodyfat.

I also have 41 years old but people said i look like 34.You need to exercise,take vitamins,sleep 6 to 8hours daily,no alcohol,no smoking,don't worry be happy,every time you shave use some kind of facial cream to clean your skin(this one is important you'll see results inmediatedly),do not remaing to much time in the sun(if you R one of those that like the beach).

My mother used to wrap my face up in my sisters pishy daipers - she swore it was good for skin and complexion - I'm 47 now and I swear I still smell of pish - but hey my skin's great!

I just read something today that exposure to red light (not infrared but just plain old red) is supposed to be good for the skin. Supposed to trigger your skin's cells to make collagen or something. Think I'll wait for more research before I go changing out all the light bulbs. People might wonder if I put a red bulb in the front porch light! smile.gif

As someone earlier noted, alcohol, smoking, and sunlight take a significant toll on your skin. It's also good to pick your parents wisely so you get a couple with good genetics!
