Around mid December this christmas, 20th or 22nd I believe it was, I was holding a ladder for my father as he put up christmas lights during the night. It was a clear sky and I was looking at the stars as usual.

As I gazed into the milky way I began to count satillites. This is something I did to help pass the time, just for fun. I was watching one satillite, when suddenly it streaked accross the sky about the distance of the Big Dipper's handle, leaving a " shooting star " streak behind it and suddenly stopping to a hault, and resuming it's constant speed/orbit. I have come to the conclusion that it was not a satillite at all. It had had a yellow ID light with a small hint of red.

My 8 year old nephew also wittnessed this incident, it was his first UFO sighting and my second. I watched the sky for the following 2 hours and saw nothing else out of the norm.

Needless to say it was a nice early christmas present.

Cheers

Cool. Definietly NOT a satellite... Keep watching, there's plenty of "traffic" of UFOs during the night, I have seen loads of strange "stars moving" that I've lost the counts.

Good luck!
