The title may be hard to understand. Let me explain.

I guess if you wanted you could match this with Final Destination, but do you think if your an an accident or a freak accident, but somehow, amazingly turn out alive, that the universe will keep itself in "natural order" by keep finding a way to kill you? And no matter what you do, you can't run from it forever?

I was watching LOST yesterday and got intrested in this and seeing the future. I dont want to spoil it for anyone who watches, but Desmond is a character who can see flashes of the future, and can do something about them. A character was drowning in the ocean, so he ran and saved her. A character named Charlie was going to run out, but the reason Desmond ran out was because if Charlie had, he would've drowned.
He then said He couldnt be there for that all the time and told him he was eventually going to die.

Even though its a fictionious example on a TV show, it sparks an intrest in me.
Does anyone else here think about that?

If not, theres also a quite disturbing theory that you only have a certain number of heartbeats assigned to you at birth.

Wow man! There seems to be a problem lately with the realization that you can cause your own life. Test it, move your hand. Did you? Did YOU move your hand?

The universe is not out to kill you. It never is. Really! It is rather pathetic. You can kick it, shred it, blow it up and it never complains. However, if you fail at things you try to do long enough, you can get this idea that there must be something power stopping you. It is not true. But if you like you will find it (as pathetic as it is) will do your bidding and come over there and kick your ^%$.

I suppose it looks cool in a movie to have the "big bad universe" out to get you. Now that not a fair fight. You can kick it's &%$ any day.

We have cities not because the universe made us do it. We have them because we melted, twisted, hammered, dragged and outright forced it to become one. And there it sits, waiting for your orders....

Good point, you have a point.

Maybe im just a little superstitious, but say you "moved your hand". Your right, you did move your hand because you wanted to and made it. Now say you jump off a bridge for no reason, you did it because "you wanted to" or made yourself, right?

Couldnt some consider that what you were suppose to do? Your..fate? Was moving your hand, ...fate?

This is a touchy subject. Fate. Many people hate with a vengeance the idea that you run your own fate.

What is the past? It is a collection of what once happened. It is over, it is a case of "been there, done that".

What is now? It is a collection of all the events of the past right here with you now. It you got up and got a glass of water, then come back with it, that would have been the past. And "now" you would have a glass of water. What you do with it at this point will become the history that you wrote. Now is where its at.

What is the future? It is empty my friend. You can write it with what ever you want. If you want something in the future you must work in the "now" to get it. The good news is that no mater how good or bad "now" ever gets, the future is always open to you to write. Plan in the future to have what you want in the "now".

Well I love what you wrote, its pretty intresting.
I dont know, I just know everyone has a fate. I feel that everyone is here for a reason. Even if that reason seems unnoticable and dumb.

Say someones shot and killed at the age of 17. If they were alive they'd ask "I had so much to look forward too, how is death my fate?"

Even if it was so, the death of that person effected someone, and just maybe that someone went on to do something big all because the earth demanded him as a sacrifice.

Who knows, you have a good point though.

See! I told you! It is touchy and hard to accept.

There is no limit what you can do. You can even demand that the Earth do your bidding, Oh! Wait! you do make this large rock stand at attention every day in your normal life. Don't forget to take care of it! You have to keep it there able to serve you you know.

Size does mater. Or so people think sizes matters. This planet is BIG! and I am so small. I even hear people think that planets, quietly going around the sun (minding their own business), get demands to do something to change the way everyones lives!

People think that if something has been around for a while it must be powerful and/or important. Another popular idea is that the bigger, the more powerful and important.

Little bitty ankle bitting monsters are not impressive in movies. If you are going to be impressed, it has to be much bigger than you are!

Have you ever seen a bratty kid? Who do you think is incharge of the family? The parent? No, it is the little brat.

Never underestimate the true scope of influence a person can have. A good example of some one that influences people is a rock star. He does it singing and talking to allot of people. This is a very direct line he has got. He says "Hi" and the people say "Hello" back. What is his secret? Do the planets get involved? No, he just talks them AND they talk to him.

Are you here for a purpose? Well, we do know that life is defined as: Having a propose and the pursuit of it. Happiness is having a worthwhile, decent goal in life and achieving it. Happiness is felt when you can see the progress. Depression is felt when you believe you will never reach it. This is so exact that you can time it with a stopwatch, it is instant. Depression is also cured that fast.

People often hate when some one gives them their purpose and want him or her to disregard his/her own. This can cause sadness as expressed above. So here we have proof that you can set your own goals based on what you want and that if given by another their is little chance you will ever be happy.

Not sure what you want in life? Try looking at it from the stand point that your goals are crushed and was THUS forgotten and you will be able to find them again.

You are the leader of your own life. Your future, your happiness is at stake. With this, make a future you would be happy to have.

Sincerely,
Scott

Oops! Typo! Not life, "Living is defined as having a purpose and and the pursuit of it."

I believe in entropy, not fate. Where life is an ordered system that must eventually be discompiled into a new ordered system due to many bodies of motion. Technically we completely die every week as no cell in our body is the same from since we were born

Maybe fate, but what if everything that has happened, is happening and will happen are all one! What we do now may change all time one way or the other and in turn that too may change the past as well? We slide into another alternative earth and so on, with creation teaming with unlimited alternative earths. Maybe in the future we do have time travel, and what we do now will effect what they do and then what they do in our past to create the present we know now...:headscrat
