I found this interesting.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/canadaenvironmentkyoto

If you do a websearch for keywords, sometimes other news sources add details.

My question is: Is he off his rocker, or does he know something we don't?

It's like i always say. Tom Cruise isn't crazy because he believe that psychology was invented by Nazis to justify violence against the Jews or that the emperor of the universe spent much of his empire resources to shove a bunch aliens down a volcano. This makes him no different then any zealous man of religion.

He's crazy because he expects the general population to listen.

I'm not sure why we would want to change something that would probably happen anyway...Al Gores video showed it.....true we need to clean up the environment...I know Upper Canada needs some help....but its the third world countries that need to get on the band wagon to help clean up the planet.

Ummm...

Anyways, The U.S. is still the highest polluter per capita and poor countries tend to have pollution producing industries from more wealthy countries.

The United States, China, Russia and India are the top national emitters of greenhouse gases. With the United States, being the world's biggest polluter.

Dante...at least the US is controlling emmisions and the air and water are getting cleaner. Canada is not to far behind....but places like china and india and others along those lines still need to begin their inprovement

China has more population than the U.S....it's definitely not behind as far as controls, especially in comparison to the U.S. (which really should have less).

I mean come on. The U.S. beats them per capita and as a whole, and china has over 1.3 billion people! That is a serious problem!

Dante....I was speaking about environmental controls.....the EPA and State environmental agencies have improved issues greatly since the 1970s....purely by volume yes the US exceeds China ...but the concentrations of compounds in the emmissions in china are far higher...and as I said it would take "alien technology" to change the natural course of the earths climatology

That's matter of economic climate. If you have a concentrated people so is their ecological footprint. They have still minimized the individual waste to a point lower then the U.S. If the U.S. chooses to minimize their footprint to the same point they would shoot down the list rather quickly. Money and decadence is the only real opposition to environmental issues. Of course, I wouldn't want you to be under the mistaken impression i believe the green house effect is the trouble with today's environment.

Dante...I was not reffering to economic climate...only the national evolution ot the temperature on the earth...remember there were no ice caps during the time of the dinosuars...and Gores video showed 3 similar temp spikes in the last 400,000 years ...perhaps the chinese don't have as much waste but they do not control it..or do they control their emmissions.....yes the US could cut down on its emissions more (they are and have) and if this continues other countries (china) will take over.

Dante....Yes I'm from the US....but I've been through china...and several other third world countries and observed their environmental "controls" or lack thereof. Even in Canada they are improving.....though their emission controls are behind the US from the places I've been.

I've seen the air, land and groundwater steadily improve over the last 30 years in New England....even New York at Love Canal....in Missouri at Times beach and in Kentucky at the Valley of the Drums all these areas have been remediated.

That is right but China is well on their way to taking slot number one...

It makes me sad to think that there is'nt really anything being done to stop it all.

I'm not sure if this guy actually knows anything about what world governments may or may not be withholding from the public.
He could just be a believer who read some conspiracy theories.

I think this guy know something :
former Canadian defense minister is demanding governments worldwide disclose and use secret alien technologies obtained in alleged UFO crashes to stem climate change, a local paper said Wednesday

The Rosswell Crash again.
Is a "Canadian defense minister" how much information he know.

I'm Canadian. It doesn't really matter in terms of our discussion but i was just a bit curious why you are arguing China is worse then the U.S. despite what little relevance it has to who is doing more damage. Nationality fits as a reason.

Course, I don't mean to sound like one of those penis envying border glancers who have nothing better to do then describe a list of grievances i have with the U.S. I just find people who attack politics like they do football teams fascinating.

anyways, I get your point. Some day, with proper restrictions, U.S. may turn around thier pollution problem. China, on the other hand, has given no slack to this. My point is if you factor in China's population, they are doing surprisingly better then the U.S. who have restrictions. China has more of a reason to create pollution than the U.S. and not only are they under it nationally but under it individually. If you want to nitpick and say "Well, at least the U.S. is trying, therefore they are somehow not the problem" that's fine. Believe what you want. My views just differ.
