Apparently a sense of humor that can separate confused moralism from situations that are completely absurd...(mainly because of confused moralism).

I mean, as far as I can figure I am laughing at both the social situation the pedophile is (which is only negative towards the pedophile) and the bizarre manner the reporter has taken to harass him.

The only reason you could feel bad is because you think you are suppose to be, as you have no personal connection or emotional bond to the situation (You can't have an emotional bond with a supposition, just misplaced emotions).

So since i'm not supporting Child Molestation (as apposed to pedophilia) or having an outrageous emotional in sympathy for a idea form (Which can be likened to hating the Swastika over a Nazi), I have a firmer understanding of the motives my emotions have than someone who cannot separate a symbol from an object.

Emotional bond is different than having an emotion. Bonds are created between two people. Emotions are relations based on perception (conscious or otherwise). You can grow to care for some one and they you. Or you can develop feelings based on some traumatic experience that is simply out of place, even if the situation is similar. I guess i don't know if there is some kid who is thankful that there are people out there who support him after something like that, true, i just tend to think such a child would have better concerns then enjoying idealism if something really bad happened to him.

What if's are pointless rhetorical devices. If you were molested, i don't care. If you knew someone, i care just as much. This might seem harsh to you and maybe i am. Do you head up letter writing campaigns for any subject matter that infers this same kind of humor (Examples: "Running scared" or "family guy"). Of course not.
