300 is a very cool movie. If you like action you need to see this one.

This movie rocks!

Its got a bunch of slashing, bashing, and ass kicking for the guys, and for the ladies, as the goddess stated above lots of men to look at.

Sort of a "Troy-meets-Sin City" thing from what I've read. I kinda think it could be pretty damn cool, but at the same time I'm always a tad concerned when genre movies start cropping up after one has a bit of success.

I laugh at the latest Iran claim that the film is American propaganda to induce military action against them.

Just when I think, I've heard everything.

for feeling insulted

I would be insulted if I were American and Rodriego Sanatório played George W. Bush

Imagine then the Emperor of Persia, Thje Great King...

This is quite simply the greatest movie I have ever seen - visually stunning - it marks a paradigm shift in movie making.

Of course the fact a Scotsman plays the lead role has nothing to do with it lol....

And I can understand why Iran is upset - the little speech delivered at the end says it all - 'The west will fight mysticism and tyranny till it conquers it' - wonder who that was aimed at?

Quite simply an awesome movie and not 'tits and gore' - at last a movie which delivers values, morals and loyalty as something worth fighting for.....

I've seen it now and thought it was fantastic! I wouldn't advise any guy to take his girlfriend along though - she'll be wondering why you can't have a body like those Spartan fella's before you can blink!

lol @ jay

ben, i agree. dying for even... which was what they did.

the comic / graphic novel version is freakin' cool too. i recommend owning a copy. not just because its frank miller. it is variant slightly from actual events, but not ridiculously. even so, the true story of the 300 has been taught (right along with sun tzu) in military academies and armed forces ever since it happened.

it shows also what a small band of highly trained warriors in a defensive position can do against any odds.

all modern military forces are still fashioned in a manner comparable to the Roman Legion. they learned it from the Spartans, the first culture in recorded history to develop what we know of now as the professional soldier.

fuckin' A.
