I used to experience deja vu on a regular basis, now, not very often. I think it might be a release of chemicals in a portion of the brain, giving those feelings. Deja vu has NEVER been prophetic for me, at least.

I haven't had a deja vu for a long long time. But i remember one thing about them, When the deja vu started i could remember what was going to happen next, but everytime i tried to just sit there and wait for it to happen, something else happened instead, almost like something did not want me to remeber what was going to happen and therefor changed it

maybe we're repeating our lives over and over again. Until we get it right.

That can't be.. I won't speak for you, but i can honestly say that my life so far does not feel "right"
If this is what right is, then no way would i experiance wrong

A glitch in the Matrix wink.gif

I believe it to be one side of the brain catching up with other a second or so later... Therefor it gives the feeling of reliving an event, and I guess you actually are.

HYDRO posts: What is Déjà vu?

From the Wiki: The term "déjà vu" (French for "already seen", also called paramnesia) describes the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously.

I did not know this term was a rather recent addition to our modern language: “The term Déjà vu was coined by a French psychic researcher, Émile Boirac (1851–1917) in his book L'Avenir des sciences psychiques (The Future of Psychic Sciences).”

I like your explanation of this phenom Muir… A person’s brain witnesses an event, but it takes a second for the event to register completely within the brain, thereby creating a ‘feeling’ like the event actually happened twice to that person. Pretty kool observation. ~rore

My own personal belief on deja vu has to do with past lives. I believe in reincarnation, so I feel that whenever deja vu comes around it is your soul reconnecting with a person, place, or thing that is has had an experience with before in another life. I don't have it very often, but when I do it hits me like a ton of bricks, and I experience a kind of spiritual connection with whatever I am feeling the deja vu over.

However, I have heard the scientific theory about it being some chemical imbalance in the brain... Honestly, I wasn't paying much attention to that portion in Health class because I thought it was b.s. for my own taste. But, here is some science info for it:

This remind me Iron Maiden 1986 song:
Iron Maiden
Somewhere in Time (1986)
Deja-vu

When you see familiar faces
But You don't know where they're from
Could you be wrong?

When you've been particular places
That you know you've never been before
Can you be sure?

'Cause you know that this has happened before
And you know that this moment in time is for real
And you know when you feel deja-vu

Feel like I've been here before
Feel like I've been here before
Feel like I've been here before
Feel like I've been here before

Ever had a conversation
That you realise you've had before
Isn't it strange

Have you ever talked to someone
And you feel you know what's coming next
It feels pre-arranged

'Cause you know that you've heard it before
And you feel that this moment in time is for surreal
'Cause you know when you feel deja-vu
