The Men in Black (no, not the movie
) DO you think they are real? Some sort of government agency to cover up UFO and alien contact? I have heard a few stories about them but haven't been able to find anything about them being active in the past few years, does anyone have any info about them?

:smokin: :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: If I had to give a definate answer to the question; Men In Black, are they real? I would have to say yes! I have never met any of them and have only read reports about them. I believe that they may well be Alien/Human hybrids as they appear to have powers and abilities far beyond what is the "norm" of a Human. They are obviously controlled by, or in the power of , a secret organisation be that Alien or Human. The whole Alien Question is too important at this time to be made public and it is only a natural assumption that there would be a concerted exercise for it to remain secret until whoever is behind it considers that the time is right for us to know. :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: |

The MIB thing seems to have its roots firmly planted in the 1950’s.
John C. Sherwood wrote an article entitled, "Gray Barker: My Friend, the Myth-Maker". (Contact Sherwood @ http://www.geocities.com/jcsherwood/ ) Sherwood reveals that at age eighteen, he collaborated with Gray Barker to create a hoax about what Barker called "blackmen", three mysterious UFO inhabitants who silenced Sherwood's pseudonymous identity, "Dr. Richard H. Pratt", in 1956. “John Sherwood (a.k.a. Dr. Richard H. Pratt) has come clean about the role Gray Barker, head of Saucerian Publications, played in perpetuating the myth of the M.I.B. The fictional book, "They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers" made the Men In Black feared within UFO circles during the late 1950's and 1960's," claims Sherwood, but the book was written purely to make money with little concern for facts. It was Barker who published Sherwood's "Flying Saucers are Watching You", which the author (Sherwood) now claims was his "only corrupt journalistic experience," i.e., he wrote with little concern for the difference between fact and fiction. Sherwood admits that he encouraged the hoax by playing along when UFOers tagged him as having been silenced by the M.I.B.” ~rore More @ http://www.csicop.org/si/9805/barker.html -------------------- Peace&Love~rore

This includes many people that had nothing to do with Barker. Perhaps the irony is that the fiction became reality. |

Soul D posts: The interesting thing is the amount of claimed encounters (of MIB's) by a wide variety of people all over the world.
Rore: Yeah, the power of Sci-Fi books is amazing, ain’t it? Many people want to feel like they are a part of something and will go so far as to convince themselves of anything. SoulD posts: Perhaps the irony is that the fiction (MIB) became reality. Rore: That‘s kind of what I‘m thinking SD. Give the people what they are ‘susceptible to believe‘ (making a fortune) annnd create a ‘new reality‘…. I think the US Govt. plays this game sometimes too… no? ~rore -------------------- Peace&Love~rore

There's still people seeing them. They still look the same! How can we explain that? How do you explain a car that vanishes in the air? I've got a bad feeling about all these bloody men in black... Everything sounds very fishy...

Maiden posts: They still look the same! How can we explain that?
By the same explanation given in my first post on this thread. People’s imagination. MIB is a proven hoax by the guy that started it. Do the math??? Practically everything about Modern Humanity smells ‘fishy’ to me. If people are going to believe in a known hoax, ok. No argument from me. I mean, what can I argue with to a “TrueBeleiver”? Jim Jones had hundreds of people killing themselves for some wild-ass idea. They believed… 39 Heaven’s Gate UFO folks killed themselves in order to ’Hitch-a-Ride' on a "Mothership”…They believed ~rore -------------------- Peace&Love~rore

There's always a hoax, an excuse. I rather believe than be manipulated. In this case of MIB, I have my doubts. So I'm not really in any of the sides at the moment, I'm just observing and if there's one thing I like to do is to wonder. ![]() P.S: Are you male or female? |

So the people whom saw MIB were actually just seeing some blokes wearing 50's/60's costumes? With brand new cars that vanished?
You may think I'm a True Believer but I can say the same about you who believes in a guy only because he said so and wrote a book. |

I have no idea what “They” saw or how real it was. I am saying I found verifiable evidence indicating the whole MIB thing was a hoax started by someone to sell books and this guy that wrote the book that started the MIB myth admitted as much. Keep on believing…no harm BM… ~rore -------------------- Peace&Love~rore

I'm sorry if I sounded rude, I'm a firely person and I see no problems about having a constructive argument with you
![]() There are loads of cases about people seeing MIB, I'll will organise the links and stuffs and post them here, in the mean while you can watch Dan Aykroyd talking about his experience with the MIB. He talks about it in the middle of the video, so you can watch the rest of the interview as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAdCyEJHw4M |

Thanks Maiden. I’ve heard Akroyd’s opinions/experiences (he is one of my favorite actors) but I must also note he was involved in a very wild and crazy lifestyle for much of his life involving fantasy comedy and movies.
As far as blokes wearing 50's/60's costumes… Think about it… Why in the World would these MIB’s wear outdated garb if they were on secret covert missions? They would stand out like a ’sore thumb’. That in itself makes no sense, unless one has a preconceived idea as to what MIB’s look like. Or one takes into account the hoax was pressed upon the public in the late 1950’s-60’s. ~rore -------------------- Peace&Love~rore

I really don't know anymore... One side says hoax and the other side says crazy! I'll stick with "If I see them one day I'll let the forum know"...
I guess all I can do is to wait and see what happens :coffee2: Maybe they wear modern suits now ![]() Maybe the gov. pays them and they are all foreigns. |

That’s exactly how the myth got started, according to the article, if you read the links I provided. The author, Sherwood, pretended to be the Dr. who got threatened by MIB’s and then let everyone believe the MIB’s silenced him… ~rore -------------------- Peace&Love~rore
