I hope this link works. It's a video of some objects seen in Alaska recently. I dunno though, hard to say what they are. I almost think plastic bags floating in the wind. Well at least the first object seen is. I'm not sure about the other two.
Also, if you're able to view this video, I suggest expanding it to full size. http://www.comcast.net/providers/fan/popup...an%2Fhome%2Exml |

![]() Download Adobe flash player and it'll work. If you click on the right top thingie you get fullscreen. To me it looks like something an airplane would drop, perhaps sanitation equipment |

Well there's 3 objects seen. Plus the camera starts focused on a pile of snow.
Then we see a weird floating object which to me seems like a big plastic bag caught in the wind, it's only like 10-15 feet off the ground. But it's the other 2 higher altitude objects that are interesting to me. |

I thought it was a large garbage bag as well but if you compare it's size to the 18 wheeler (that's dwarfed by it) driving by, it would have to be a huge bag. I'm wondering if it's one of these weather phenomenons that was reported at O'Hare. weird! And why didn't she run up the road to videotape it up close?

I don't know about her, but I'm sure not about to run up to some weird object floating next to the highway. That's how you get your butt probed.

I think someone made some home made balloons by stitching up some thin plastic lining and one of them popped and the wind caught it. It almost looked like a comet with a tail. I'm uploading the video to Youtube so all of you can view it. I'm just waiting for it to setup. I just thought of Weather Balloons (That's probably what they are). They kind of look like them. And what did the guy mean by "That cotton candy machine there"?

That's rich StringTheory!
It looks like a "bubble blob" from a car wash. On another note, I have been trying to figure out why the sudden interest in Alaska UFO's. The traffic to our site coming from searches about the subject have spiked. Maybe it's this? hmmm. * |

(TallWhite;312299) LOL.......I simply meant garbage bags that airlines carry I know you're just kidding, but look at the bag and look at how small the semi is compared to it, which is actually in front of the object. That bag would have to be the size of a 2 story house. |

I've watched the video at least 20 times at this point, and some how I keep missing the "object" near enough to anything to make a size comparison. =/
Being that it's on Youtube can you give a specific time to freeze it to get a good perspective as to it's size? |

Poor video quality, hard to tell what they are, but white plastic bags seems very possible.

OK.
This photo shows where the truck was in the earlier frame and after. I pasted the truck earlier in the video to the latter frame where the lightpole is. Look how small the truck is compared to the size of the "bag". Now bear in mind that the "bag goes behind the light pole and settles on the hill behind it. It's pretty damn large. ![]() BTW I'm not saying it's a UFO. I am saying it's probably a very large weather balloon and not a garbage bag |

Someone on youtube commented that it was a giant wind sock. That could be it too. Probably came from a Car lot somewhere and blew off the pole. But even if that were the case, what the hell are the other 2 white objects she is videotaping?

I think the average truck height (trailer) is 12 feet 8 inches. I used to be a mover when I was a teenager. The top of a trailer is about the height of the lowest part of a single story house's roof. So this bag looks to be about 10 feet taller then the actual rig itself. So we're looking at about 20-22 feet high and 35 feet long.
there is also one more strange thing about this. If it was a bag, wouldn't the wider side be in the back? Because the larger of the ends is the opening of the bag (or wind sock). and that would be the side facing the wind that is keeping it aloft. So why is the larger of the ends facing towards the direction that it is blowing in? explain that to me? |
