i watched the ufc back when the only rules were no biting & no eye gouging. let me know when it gets back to the real deal. its going the way of pro boxing... and thats lame.
i don't usually care who wins, so long as i learn something from watching the fight. i enjoyed watching shamrock get his ass kicked by ortiz... then i enjoyed watching ortiz get whupped. lidell is a bad mofo. there are few fighters among them that i appreciate. vitor belfort was one of them. dan 'the beast' severn. de pardue. a few others, but its been awhile. i like most the fighters with striking technique that never let the fight go to the mat. those are the masters. (with a few exceptions.) they are all trained fighters placed in a very controlled fighting environment. it seldom goes down that way on the street, or in a 'real-life' situation. ufc is taking the fighting arts and turning them into sports entertainment. thats borderline blasphemy.

"Rampage" Jackson is a new favorite. just because he whooped chuck's ass just like he said he would.
