Look Im not trying to make anyone quit whatever they believe in but I do have a good question. Is there really a god? I mean look every race has about a different god yet everyone says their god is the true one. Almost every religion copied each other in some way. Im not an aethist I just dont have a religion yet. I guess thats they the call it faith. We've had religion for well a long time and do we have any proof of a god yet? None that I see. Im open to anything you have to say. Im sure this has been posted before but I havent seen it so here you go again.

Could it be that God is the same, and different religions percieve Him differently?

I don't know if there is a god or not. I think there is some kind of higher intelligence that created everything we know and don't know this is of course my feeling.

However if this being is so much more advanced then we are how can we even begin to think that we can detect it`s existence with our primitive tools.

Right now it`s just what you choose to believe in your life experiences I really don`t know what exists out there.

I noticed some people typing "God" and "Him" with capital letters. Since the OP was about 'a god', it kind of shows you what people think.

As for my thoughts, I do not believe in a god, but by the very definition of what a god is, it is fundamentally impossible to prove or disprove it either way. Hence the paradox. And hence a 'blind faith'. The faith is blind because one will never be proven one way or the other.

I agree 100%. I can't rationalize 'blind faith' anymore. God (he/she/it/they/all the forementioned), if existing, made the rules for math & science just by 'creating' the universe. I postulate those rules, and all the variables included therein, must be followed.

However, moral is existing, religion try to set it as the teaching of God, to make their religion holy as it base on some truth; that to be together happily has to have community rules that will not suffer or bother other members. People think that is the beautiful teaching of God. but really if there isn't any God, human still realized what is good or bad for society. On the other hand God teaching makes those moral to be practised. and people think that's holy and lets believe! Even there isn't a god.

What if there is no God at all, but human too clever and need something to protect them. It has not anything to do with the existing but it's something to do with the smartness. So that's why each community has God, believe it or not even my village has God of the village. But I never seen it affect my life at all. You are the one who let it in.

So god created the heavens and the earth universe, and is now residing in heaven, where was god before god created everything was god just sitting in the dark thinking or was Family Guy's interpretation correct that god was arm wrestling his roomate Chuggs he farted and everything came to be.

According to me there are 2 Gods. The god who exploded in a multitude of spirits at the beginning of the univers that we are all live being is a part of and the god of the heaven of this planet.

No, because any human from a handful of different religions will tell you their god is the correct god. Questions like this are just mental gymnastics. Read the scriptures of one of the many hundred religions available and follow it. It's there in black in white. Anything in question towards the writing makes one a heretic.

And faith is an idea and a feeling of happiness which is created through chemicals ...which is science. So although it [faith] may be a genuine reality, for people to call it a divine feeling or a different (special) feeling is a bit egotistical.

perhaps they are all correct...

the notion of an omniscient being encompasses the concepts of synchronicity & serendipity along with omnipresence, which would indicate that (theoretically) all of these "gods" are "God". or an expression / perception thereof.

IF a "one true god" didn't want them there then they wouldn't be (omnipotence). so perhaps they too serve a purpose or are part of a greater whole. taking for granted that one exists...

God is dead. His/Her last act was to set the universe in motion in the hope that life itself could continue without him/her/it.....we are alone with our thoughts.

You give a thought enough power -it will come to fruition within your own mind.
