Are we living in a separate reality in which the world already ended, but the dying "energies" of so many people at once busted open a portal which created the earth again and life picked up from rite before it died. so there. crackpot theory, or truth

I thought of that just last night. Only I thought "Maybe every second you live you keep dyeing, but you live in another universe that's just a second ahead of the last one". It's a improvable for either way theory.

That theory reminds me somewhat of the Gaia theory, meh.
The planet may die, but the spirit won't; the souls of all the dead returned to Gaia, making it more powerful than ever before, and eventually, a new planet will be formed from the spirits energy; and the souls will be released to create new life.

I'd love to believe that, it'd make the world feel so much more Magical.

Which is the receretion of the universe. Phyics says nothing, not even life is created or destroyed.

I believe physics states that matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed.

However, as can we have witnessed in some form or fashion, living organisms can be destroyed.

Once something has consciously existed,even for a moment, I don't think its possible for it to just not exist any more.

Consciousness, self-awareness, etc. require a "brain", so I think that without a location to dwell in wouldn't it cease to exist?

I've said this a few times in different threads. I believe in the soul, yet, I think that once it leaves my body upon my death, I will not be conscious of it. My spirit may be reborn somewhere else, but my new self will not remember the old me.

Not really since you yourself won't remeber a thing. When you soul ends up in someone else they might but I wonder if your memories would carry over also?
