Okay- here's a question- if you can't take pics of area-51 (or the gate) then how come people get so many pics of cammo dudes and the entrance and don't get in trouble, are the cammo dudes BLIND? Or is it that you can't go in and take pictures- I don't know. Oh yeah- here's a little warning for somebody who wants to go check out the entrance to Area-51, when you get to the MILLITARY INSTALLATION signs, know that you are already a quarter mile into the base- so don't think the cammo dudes can't get you if you are across from the signs- you have to be on public property for them not to.

I've been toiling with this idea for quite a while, why dont we fly a model airplane fitted with a live camera into area 51 and
take video of whats going on there.

We wont be breaking any laws cause we are not physically entering the base.

Of course you'd need a well built model with plenty of range and fitted with a good video camera.

Don't they have a day where anyone can go in there and look around at the base now? Or am i thinking of a different base? Anyway i saw a show where there is a huge mountain right around there or hill or something that people use to climb up and you could see inside the base a little bit and also used radios to try to listen in on them. Thats probably how they got the pictures of the camo guys and also i heard they blocked off the mountain now so people cant do that.

Don't they have 2 sets of gates, the first being the military checkpoint staffed by the camo dudes and the other I think may be staff by the those MIB's or what ever they are. I've heard you can drive up to the first gate but your are a dead man if you try to make the second gate.

most anything in any military installation that is top-secret is probably going to be so far underground that china would have easier access than the we would, or in an encrypted file.

the model airplane idea would probably get shot down... literally. people that get pics of the place generally do so with very powerful telescopic camera lenses and from miles away. the r/c would have to have one hell of a range.

annual open day, yeah right. just because they let the public in that is somehow supposed to give us clarity on the subject of whatever went on there? civilians are permitted on to military bases on a regular basis. (heh. bases / basis.) its not like one goes to a military installation and can find weapons and bombs laying around everywhere. all of that stuff stays locked away behind closed doors, armed guards and security systems until it gets prepared for deployment. i mean... theres a pretty good chance any of us have eaten in a mafia owned restaurant, but just being there didn't reveal anything secret about the mob. and they're open every day.

one could work at area 51 and still have no idea what went on or goes on that is kept hidden from the public. the folks that mop the floors and answer phones probably haven't seen anything weird there either.

besides... whatever was there has (most likely) long since been moved, and stealth technology isn't exactly top-secret anymore... unless theres more to it than fighter jets.

the "camo guys" can be seen all around the base's parameter. they probably do not get to see much sensitive material either. oh... and since they are probably "outsourced", are not bound to the same regulations and laws as military personnel.

But Area-51 has blue prints and plans for future aircraft and weapons such as the Aurora (however you spell it), and if an enemy were to get in and find that information- it could really mess up the national security- in fact, if you ask me, I think their crazy to let the public in at all

I agree- I think the camo dudes probably don't know anything as far as projects go- I doubt they're even allowed in the buildings in the base except the guard shack- but hey ya never know- the camo dudes could be disguised aliens lol jk

They would probably hide the things they didn't want people to see on the open day and then bring back out after that or just leave it underground just in case..

Surely nobody's naive enough to think you would ever see anything unusual on these open days its probably one of the most heavily protected places on the planet, but now i think its a smokescreen and if anyone had any crazy ideas of having a look around use google earth its much safer lol ( use of deadly force ) i dont think the cammo dudes would mess around if they caught you past the warning signs

Has there ever been a case when someone crossed the bounderies of the base and gotten shot?

Imagaine just taking a news crew there broadcasting live, have someone willing to just let loose with a dune buggy and see what happens?

Though the result maybe that they get shot, who knows, if that were to happen how long would it be before every news station was up there.

Hey feel free if you think its worth the risk but as i've said i dont think these cammo dudes would mess around if you go over into their territory remember the signs say use of Deadly Force which i would imagine means they can kill you if you step into their territory is it worth it ? do you think you'd get very far ? i dont think so on both counts use google earth its much safer

This video's pretty ok, it's ten minutes long and it has some guy driving up to the gate of area 51 while he points out the unmarked camo dudes car.

He keeps a good eye on em coz he doesn't want his camera equipment confiscated.

google earth isn't going to show an updated image. you could look at it now & it would probably be the same image from six months ago. its not going to show anything underground either. even if it did show experimental craft what are the chances of catching one taking off? slim at best i'd say.

i wouldn't recommend tempting the guards either. those guys probably get pretty bored. no telling what they may do to ease the tedium should someone come along and test the limits of their authority.

ABA all im saying is google earths the safer option i look there daily as you rightly point out these images are probably from last year your right you cant see anything exotic taking off as its not real time and i doubt if they'd take off in daylight if you have a look around though i've spotted what appear to be 2 f-15s on the ground and also 2 black helicopters ( stealth one's ? ) maybe its me getting old but i must admit to getting a bit of a buzz first time i had a look around i felt like a naughty boy lol

hahahaha... "naughty boy"

oh yeah its safer. sanctioned even.

a real time satellite image... that would be nice. but then they'd blot it out, or all we'd see would be desert.

honestly... i think the government deserves all the flak it gets for denying the existence of something that is obviously corporeal. its a slap in the face to the american public. (probably the world.) i mean c'mon if they're gonna lie about something might as well make it a good lie. they could have refused to let on what was going on there and still save face by admitting the base exisists. "oh ok, you got us, yeah there it is... but, uh we can't tell you what happens there on the grounds of plausible deniability. no seriously its a big whopping secret so don't ask, 'cause we ain't telling." they could have even presented it as something else like a remote training base for desert warfare... much more mundane than oh say... stealth technology. just the premise of it being such a crappy lie suggests that they are indicating "hey look we are lying, see how bad we lie. now that you know something is up. we're gonna lie about that too and stick with this weather balloon story."
