Hello. Yet another thread on the NFL, lol. Thought I'd make a thread just for talking about football in general. Talk about your favorite team, injuries, predictions, rookies, overrated players, underrated players, future hall of famers, etc etc etc....

So, who do you think is gonna start Game 1 at QB for the Cleveland Browns this season?

I think rookie Brady Quinn deserves to start. He has played flawlessly this preseason, despite holding out through most of camp. My gut says that Charlie Frye will start though... for at least the first 3-4 games. I think, though, at some point and likely sooner than later, Brady Quinn will the #1 guy in Cleveland.

Weird list.. lots of those "locks" only have 2 years of experience..I love Lofa but.. lets not crown him yet. And Vince Young only completed 51.5% of his passes as a rookie, Pro Bowl not withstanding.

Mario Williams had what would normally be considered a successful rookie year.. Wow. Just a horrible list.

Ok I'm gonna copy and paste the list, and agree and disagree as necessary.

Hall of Fame Locks:

1. Brett Favre <---Deffinite. I hate him, but he's great.
2. Tom Brady <---If hes not HoF material, no one is.
3. Peyton Manning <---For "Most Endorsement Deals, Ever"
4. Larry Allen <---Who? I really dont know who he is lmao!
5. Ray Lewis <---I dont know, with the Atlanta Incident, its sketchy.
6. Richard Seymour <---Probably, but I wouldnt bet on first try.
7. Jonathan Ogden <---Deffinetly, one of the best linemen in the game.
8. Marvin Harrison <---No question, specially since Peyton started up.
9. LaDainian Tomlinson <---Depends on the future, hes young.
10. Adam Vinatieri <---Perhaps, he has that choke factor though.
11. Brian Urlacher <---Yes, Yes, Yes. DA BEARS!
12. Orlando Pace <---I dont know, hes dropped off the last couple years.
13. Michael Strahan <---Yes, the sack record was enormous.
14. Junior Seau <---Perhaps. He had a great streak, but lately, ehh.
15. Tony Gonzalez <---Yes. About to pass Shannon Sharpe for most receptions.
16. Dwight Freeney <--No. I really don't think he lives up to the hype.
17. Champ Bailey <---Yes, one of the best pass defenders ever.
18. Derrick Brooks <---No. He's mediocre of late, nothing impressive.
19. Warren Sapp <---Yes. He's a leader, with incredible pizzazz. Yes, Pizazz.
20. Torry Holt <---Yes, he was killer with Warner, same with Bulger.
21. Shawne Merriman <--More than likely, but not on the first ballot.
22. John Lynch <---No. Team leaping and low numbers.
23. Alan Faneca <---Perhaps, not the best at his position, but good.
24. Steve Hutchinson <---Yes, not on his first try though
25. Brian Dawkins <---In a heartbeat, best saftey of all time.
26. Walter Jones <---I'd pass on him for the moment, im unimpressed.
27. Jason Taylor <---Yes. One of the greatest pass rushers of all time.
28. Shaun Alexander <---On the bubble. Hes had up and down years.
29. Julius Peppers <---On the bubble too. One superbowl isnt enough.
30. Antonio Gates <---No. He's mediocre. Not outstanding.
31. Troy Polamalu <---No again. Hes had memorable plays, not seasons.
32. Randy Moss <---It all depends on how he does in New England.
33. Ed Reed <---Who?
34. Reggie Bush <---On the bubble. Hes only in year 2 for gods sake!
35. Ty Law <---Yes. Great defender, great pass deflector.
36. Terrell Owens <---No.No.No. Never. Too big of an asshole.
37. Edgerrin James <---Yes, the smartest rusher that has ever played.
38. Carson Palmer <---Hahahahaha. Hell no, not in this lifetime.
39. Vince Young <---Yes. In the steps of Cunningham and Moon.
40. Calvin Johnson <---He hasnt played a single game. So im betting no.
41. Matt Leinart <---No. Terrible rookie season, no team to back him.
42. Rod Smith <---Perhaps, depends on his play from here on out.
43. Hines Ward <---Yes. The first asian to be in too, I believe.
44. Chad Johnson <--Yes. also, the touchdown dance hall of fame!
45. Lofa Tatupu <---Perhaps, hes a great player, but hes not outstanding.
46. DeMarcus Ware <---No. He's a shadow player, hes the sidekick.
47. Larry Johnson <---Yes. One of the good power runners of our time.
48. Steven Jackson <---No. Hes a great recieving back, but doesnt have the moves.
49. A.J. Hawk <---who the hell is AJ Hawk?
50. Adrian Peterson <---I dont know. Depends how Minnesota uses him.

Guys Who Are On The Bubble:

Anquan Boldin <---Not even on the bubble, big old NO.
Drew Brees <---He'll make it if he throws for 2.5+ this year
Isaac Bruce <---He's a shoe in. If Holt makes it, he will too.
Rodney Harrison <---No, I can't say that he will.
Willie McGinest <---Absolutely not. Mediocre play.
Donovan McNabb <---Hes in. In a heartbeat, first ballot.
Steve McNair <---Also in, first ballot. One of the best.
Tom Nalen <--- No. No. No. No. Bigger no than TO.
Simeon Rice <---Perhaps. He needs to get to a Superbowl team though.
Steve Smith <---No. The guys a smurf whose had 1 great season.

Guys Who Won't Ever Be In The HoF:

Eli Manning <---Depends if he turns into his brother or not.
Clinton Portis <---He could make it, he needs another big push.
Brady Quinn <---Oh quinn will be a hall of famer, you just watch.
Ben Roethlisberger <---No, he wont make it, Rothlisberger sucks.
Tony Romo <---Why is he even on this list? He sucks
JaMarcus Russell <---Depends if he ever ends the hold out hahaha
Jeremy Shockey <---He could make it, with a different team.
Michael Vick <---I have faith in Mike. Wait til his comeback, then well talk.
Mario Williams <---Who? So no.
Charles Woodson <---In on the first ballot, woodson is badass.

Im adding to the list:

WILL MAKE IT INTO THE HALL OF FAME:
Jamal Lewis (RB) Cleveland Browns <--great records set, power back
Cedric Benson (RB) Chicago Bears <--will have a break out year this year.
Mike Brown (CB) Chicago Bears <--But he needs to ditch the injuries.

Thats all my thoughts.

But..you kind of put your credibility in question by not knowing who Ed Reed is.. and by saying Vinatieri has choke problems. Vinatieri has the OPPOSITE of choke problems. He won two Super Bowls on last second kicks. You are probably thinking of Vanderjakt, who he replaced on the Colts last year.

Ed Reed.. Baltimore Ravens safety. Look him up. He,not Ray Lewis, has been the dominant player on their dominating defense for the past 5 years.

Mario Williams was the guy taken instead of Reggie Bush at number one in last years draft.

You said that if Holt makes it in then so does Bruce..but generally it goes the opposite. Electors dont like putting too many people in from the same team.. the two are more likely to hurt each other than help.
