No I don't think it is an 'alien' implant - Dr Leir is a podiarist - someone who specialises in feet - until of course he discovered that there's money and fame to be made by touting the 'implant' agenda. Yes it's a genuine implant but looking at where it's lying in the root canal suggests it is probably an enamel ball left in there or some other artifact from a bad trip to the dentist.....but of course in Dr Leir's hands it becomes something else....

It's a 5mm ball bearing? My guess is a BB, probably actually a .177 (4.5mm) Daisy air rifle ball bearing.

Two pellets were discovered, so it could be either one. Considering the patient was born in 1946, when people were a little less careful and accidents were less likely to be reported and recorded ... There was no report on the metal analysis. Lead bearings would be only birdshot, ditto bismuth or tungsten composites. Steel could be either one, BB or birdshot (Daisy used steel from 1939).
