I saw the first two films on TV and they sucked. Are the next two much better then? They are churning out sequels at quite a rate these days.

The first was okay. The second one blew, even the director said this himself. The third one was good.

They're trying to have one each Halloween, and the guy who plays Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) has signed on for Saw 5 and Saw 6, although I don't know how they'll pull that off.

The idea of Jigsaw is genius. A killer who puts others in situations where they have to make hard decisions to live seems more original than most of the shit Hollywood's been churning out lately.

Also, was it censored on TV? Because if it was, you probably missed out on a bit.

No, they were not censored. All the gore was there.

one each halloween? isn't that what they tried with Friday 13th? & that franchise went the way of the turd. way to take a cool thing and make it suck.

the only thing remotely entertaining about the first saw was the ending. after 3 more attempts whats to say it could get any better?

the horror genre is already diluted enough with bad writing & bad acting. just what we need, more.

how about some originality? oh... he blew it all on the surprise ending of the first movie.

i enjoy horror, but good horror films are hard to come by. there is a difference between gory & scary. gross isn't really all that frightening. its just messy. (and kinda cool looking.)

The Saw movies are a breathe of fresh air, however after 3, like Woden said it feels like watching the same movie again. The twist at the end of 1 was pure genious, 2 was mainly just gore, and 3 was extremely unpredicatable, the ending could be seen from halfway through the movie. i dont know how they'll fit 'Jigsaw' into another movie, given he's dead and all?? prequels???

I'll pass. I fairly enjoyed the first one (I was practically cheering in the audience when that woman had to feel through her fellow prisoner's intestines!), while I found myself bored and lamely amused by the second. I own a burned version of the third and have yet to sit down and view it. Thus, the fourth one does not appeal to me... Perhaps one drunken night I shall need some gore to keep me amused, but I don't plan to waste money on it.
