Dear Bark,

It was my pleasure to be of service to you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

I hope you won't mind but I'm going to spend the rest of this afternoon reading as many of your previous posts, as time will permit, in order to get to know you better. I have a feeling I will look back on this day as one of my more enjoyable ones.

SC, I would really advise against reading anything I have written previous. That was 3 years ago at the most and well I've changed a lot since then. They would paint an inaccurate picture of the person I am now. Only allowing the reader to see the person I was.

Much can happen to change a person in three years and from what I remember of by behaviour before I left this small patch of the web it was nothing to be proud of.

Dear Bark,

Yes, I can see the change. You are older, wiser, more mature. You are now leading your conversations more from your head and not so much from your heart. I am certain you appreciate all that has happened that has placed you where you are today.

I am enjoying the 'quotes' you are using in your posts.
I look forward to learning more from you.

SC, something a very wise man once told me although I cannot remember who.

"You first think with your head, then check that it’s the just and right thing to do. Only then do you ask your heart."

Wise words and words which have helped shape me into the man I am today. All too often the heart can become confused; it can be pulled this way and that by conflicting ideals. That is why we were given minds with which to think I believe. Our mind must govern our heart if we are to live good lives. Letting the heart rule causes too much chaos.

I like to think of it as a cup of milk. Without the cup to hold the milk it just goes everywhere. Likewise the milk can't hold the cup.

I thank SC you for your comments and for the time taken to read some of the posts made by my younger self.

SC, thank you for that thread. I saved it and printed it out for myself. In raising my granddaughter, I forget what it was like being a kid.

Dear Cricket,

I'm glad you enjoyed the 'Memos' and will find some practical use for them. The statements double their value when you consider their practical use in our adult interpersonal interactions with one other.

Oh my, number 3 is so true for me... Despite how much I enjoy indulging in my "bad" habits, I know I would be a lot better off if my mother would have done something about it from the beginning.

I need to print this out and go give it to her. lol
