So ,what's your favorite (coolest, most powerful, toughest, most honorable) monster, folks? Could be from movies, books, or whatever, actually

I'll start (since I am the threadmaker )

1. In first place I'll put dragons. They're thousands of years old, wise, (almost) indestructible, and mighty powerful creatures, don't you agree? Besides, they can fly! And it doesn't matter which size they are, even Mushu, from the Disny movie Mulan, even he kicks ass! And Spyro, from the game Spyro, he's small, but he's the one winning in the end, isn't he? Of course, the older, bigger and wiser ones are (I think) more powerful, but dragons are great.

2. The first runnerup monster has to be a Balrog. I mean, come on! they're made out of fire, for cryin' out loud!

3. THE Alien, from the Alien movies is also cool. She's almost impossible to destroy, and the way she just gets PISSED if anyone messes with her, well, she's a great monster.

Btw, you can put up as many as you'd like, if you only like 1, then post one, and if you got a whole list of monsters waiting in line for this thread, bring them on

what a way to gain our appreciation ....of all the monsters out there and overcome our fears...

1) I go with the dragons myself...knights love to go on quests and kill dragons so yep definately Dragons.....

I'll have to agree with gollum. Dragons! They are so majestic, and powerful and cool! I think the intire fantasy industry has underestimated dragons (apart from maybe Mushu, Spyro, and my favourite; Smog). There is something ancient and wize about them as well. As though they were here (in a fantasy world of course) during the first years of the earth itself. Can't say it enough; Love'em!

Added: Dentists are your favourite monster, ben? Bloodey 'ell, they don't fall into any favourite category of mine, I can tell you!

Good one. Also, some of my school teachers can be real monsters some times

I thought the monster in Species was pretty good, but I wasn't too impressed with the storyline.

The orcs in LOTR, they were really nasty and creepy looking and I liked the bit when they scuttled up the walls in the mines of Moria, that was freaky.

And just because I love Angel, my favourite monsters are the the vamps themselves when they morph into their demon form.
