If you'll forgive me Liselle I won't be looking at the video - I know what they do and it is distressing. I just wish it would stop sad.gif

I forgive you... I find it really difficult to watch these sorts of things, and I wouldn't have watched it if I'd known how upset it would make me.

Maybe some people need the horror factor thought to realise just what goes on in parts of the world.

I am glad i wasnt there. Prison would be where I would end up. I dont condon any one killing creatures for any reason and to kill cause of want of money!
Thats disgusting and I would have no mercy. To kill to feed your family is one thing, but to intentionally destroy creatures out of greed. Sorry , but this really up set me and I will be protesting this from the corner of my part of the world.

I don't hold much with killing and I believe that when there is a way to kill without causing too much distress then that's the way it should be.. But you don't find many screaming as the cattle get butchered when they are the holy animals of some religions.. and you really don't see that many people wandering about killing their own meat.. they nip down the butchers and grab the odd bit of nice red bloody steak or whatever takes their fancy. Now If these guys are killing becuase like the fishermen and farmers of so many other places it is how they make thier living , then surely it is only as acceptable as the pig farmer down the road.. or the trout farm out in the country.. ? The egg producers in their barns?.. where is the difference?.. only that we see Dolphins as more intelegent?. cute?. comunicators.. most animals comunicate in some way. even the odd pet dog but you still gt to go round vietnam and chow down on the odd bit of mutt! shout about the methods.. or become vegetarians cease to wear leather. find these guys alternative methods of income. or at least be less selective and go shout at the butchers the storekeepers , the farmers.. all those who mass produce the dinner you just consumed.
So when was the last time you stuck your hands inside a fish and pulled out its guts before cooking it.. or skinned your own bit of cow?.. degibleted a chicken? Ain't it just grand to get it all nicely packaged for you. in little trays with saran wrap around it looking all clean and nice. indistinguishable from the beast it came from?.. so distressing as it might be it's going on everyday in every country to one kind of beast or other. the horror factor is only the extent as to how cute the beast is!!! hypocritical?... who am I to judge how someone makes their money?

I'm hesitant to click the link as well.

Am I to assume that this is about dolphins being killed for sport or by tuna fishers? If so, that is just repugnant.

I won't be watching it either... I almost cried from rage just by seeing pictures of seal clubbing, so I can't imagine a video being any better.

In all honesty, I can be quite sadistic myself (depending on the person)... but even this kind of thing makes me absolutely sick. I would love nothing more than to find these sick bastards and beat them to death with a barbed wire-laced baseball bat. Animals feel pain just as much as humans, even if they cannot express it as well, so why should they not be protected by such acts of brutality? Until it's legal for me to slaughter some Japanese asshole for no reason, they shouldn't be able to do it to poor animals.

what if u were taught ur whole life that it was ok to do this? you go to work one day with ur family at home counting on u to make money in some crummy job...and some lady attacks you a barb wire baseball bat.

human conditioning...its a pain in the ass

im sure u got hindu people in india watching videos of cows being killed in a slaughterhouse and then eaten...cows are sacred to them how do u think they feel?

I don't care what you're taught growing up. Common sense should tell you that it's wrong to treat a living thing like that. Most people (sadly enough, not all) are taught that harming fellow human's is wrong, so why shouldn't a decently intelligent individual be able to figure out that doing the same to OTHER living things is just as wrong?

I grew up in a redneck home with a father who would kill (literally) to be apart of the KKK. Despite being taught through my childhood that ALL blacks are wrong, dirty, and lazy, I still have enough sense to know that it's not true. If I were ignorant and did go along with that way of thinking, I would have every right to be attacked due to hate crimes and the like... ignorance kills.

I'm sure that they feel the same way that I do, and they are right to feel that way. All slaughter houses make me just as sick, and I would never begrudge a Hindu, or anyone, for thinking us vile for doing such things.

As I've said before, I do understand it's a cultural difference, and these fisherman rely on this annual murdering of Dolphins to support their families.

I understand that fact. It doesn't make it any less brutal to watch.

I realize there's some form of logic behind it, but when it comes to animal "cruelity" I cannot have my opinions bent.
