Anyone who thinks that they will find the 'truth' in an internet forum...any forum...is either delusional or a fool. Why remain then? I don't know about you, Aba, but I reckon I've been here these past years for the companionship. Some true and others not...but at least it gives one company whilst on a mostly solitary journey toward truth. And I never consider good companionship a waste of time. :cheers:

anyway.. if you are looking for the truth.. you were always in the wrong place. If youre looking for people to TALK about things youre interested in with you, you probably were in the right place. Im not sure..of late it has been very..uhm.. anyway.

I have to agree in some respects. Personally I am here because I am interested in UFO's and there happens to be a few very nice people here whose commentary I enjoy reading. (you know who you are ) Although they seem very quiet of late. Although I do enjoy a bit of a debate, i don't like the black and white polarization that seems to permeate the place of late. There seems to be getting fewer and fewer Grey areas, and many more Black and White areas.
The Believers are getting wackier, and the skeptics are becoming more obtuse. It sort of takes the wonder out of things when it degenerates into a competition of wits. Luckily there are still many threads that don't tend to do this. As 22 said, "but at least it gives one company whilst on a mostly solitary journey toward truth. And I never consider good companionship a waste of time" It is nice to share the wonder of something with friends when you experience it. It is a pity that those who do so often get howled down.

Where else can you go to get a good run down on what has been happening in the UFO & Fortean phenomena?
I never joined to make friends or to pass boredom. I joined because this was the best place on the internet I found to follow what has been going on and get opinions and feedback on these subjects.
It was never a waste of time for me. I am here for the subject matter discussed pure and simple. If I make friends OK, if not OK.
If you are as interested as I think you may be...you will be back...to read the posts anyway.

While i do agree that there is allot of arguing and "useless" threads, every once in a while something new and interesting shows up. And when they do, i always enjoy reading them.
