That would depend on who you ask. I believe that we have souls and that the soul can never die. Lost souls sounds more like a minister talking about those that go astray and are condemned to the Lake-of-fire, scenario. I do no believe in such foolishness. Sometimes people will die suddenly or instantly. Usually by an accident of some kind or unnatural causes. Because it happened so suddenly they have no time to think and are in a mental state of denial. Such a person can remain Earth-bound until they come to realize that their body has died and that they are no longer a part of this physical world. They then can find their way to the spirit world. |

I have never been sure on this and have pondered it on countless times. Have taken years of philosophy at university to give me some clues.
To this day, I am leaning more and more in the direction that there is no soul, and when you die, you simply die. |

Then you should not accept psychic experiences either, senhuan. As they are defiant to the limitations of our physical bodies.

I think when you're dead, you're dead.
TheEnd. I hope I'm wrong, though. No way to totally know for sure. |

I respect those opinions.
But for me, the very question is plain silly. But then again, I have had experienced and witnessed many things that has proven to me, the soul is quite real. |

The body is nothing more than a vessel that contains the soul, the aurora or whatever you may call it. Regardless of what religion you follow there is some sort of life energy [I believe] that exists even after death.
The body being physical matter and your soul being the energy that drives it. You die the body becomes part of the earth's ecosystem and your energy is sent back into the universe since energy cannot be destroyed, only transfered. |

(FiA_MaStEr1;347612) The body is nothing more than a vessel that contains the soul, the aurora or whatever you may call it. Regardless of what religion you follow there is some sort of life energy [I believe] that exists even after death.

I agree to a great extent with this, not that the other opinions were not valuable or important to thought, but this one will allow me to sort of give my own opinion. I believe that after death your soul is transferred to a new vessel, that meaning another human or squirrel, etc., once dead you bore a new creature that bears your soul, with or without the memories, and as the body decomposes it is the life being drained into the new creature and at a certain age, when the body has drained all it can drain, you begin to die, and that is the beginning of the makings of a new creature that will bear your soul again... i don't know... just a little thing i've been working on... i know it's like reincarnation but i kinda wanted a reason you know? maybe it's already been covered... sorry it's a little disorganized and i write long replies lol |
