There is a conspiracy going around that a UFO destroyed the reentry of the space shuttle back in 2003. Now on the news they're saying a mysterious object was seen next to the shuttle during liftoff. I'm not saying I believe or not but They really don't know if it's a bird or a chunk of ice or what. Do you think this will fuel the idea that Aliens are trying to keep us grounded? that they started off by doing flybys during the apollo missions and have now have turned to becoming hostile.

That doesn't really stand up though Trog, America is not the only nation to put men in space....

If they were trying to keep us grounded, I suspect there would be many more disasters, I think it would not take to much strife to get the American public offside and lose funding. Thats not to say they are not out there, I have read a little about the apollo stuff so I know what you are getting at.

Right but We're the only ones to get to the moon. The Russians never put anyone on the moon.

Yes but none of the apollo missions were destroyed...Also other nations are planning more moon missions why would they do that if they are going to be destroyed....

Like the history of flight, the motor industry and others, the space program is riddled with tragedy, it is part of the process, and although i do see a little evidence here and there that "they" are not terribly happy to have us out there at times, I am inclined to agree with Fen, I think it is just a terrible series of accidents.

I can't even reply to these anymore. Part of me thinks the new conspiracy is true and part of me thinks it's the Government playing and it's fun read for people. Just for the sake of argument, You're right and I'm wrong then I will just walk away from this. but look at it this way. AT first they warned us by following us around. then they start causing problems. then more and more are being registered by NASA. NASA doesn't want a panic on its hands so they make stuff up. There are actual recordings from NASA talking about alien crafts. Russia says it's not them. China doesn't have the technology yet. Who the hell could it be. India?, Pakistan? There are other conspiracies out there like it was shot down by a test ray cannon. Did you read the paper about the boing or one of those companies that builds Jets has developed a ray gun. silly sci fi stuff but they say they can take out stuff on low power as far as 5 miles and on high power several hundreds of miles away. I'm not suggesting they did do this..well, just reports are. How cold would it be if a rogue Government did this. kind of like 911. Astronauts are our heros just like those who rescued people in NYC.. but they are being turned away without medical benefits. Someone in the system is pretty cold hearted. this can go on but I was just creating a topic for talk. Maybe next time I will find something less hurtful. Maybe we should remove Conspiracies from AU all together. All anyone ever does is yell at each other. doesn't disprove or prove anything. It's kind of counter productive.

most likely you're right. But I believe at times things are hidden. I still believe with all my heart that we were not alone when the US and Russia landed on the Moon. I know a Russian craft landed the same time we did (Not sure if it was the first landing) but several people with NASA stated we were met by alien crafts and they were not so much hostile as they were showing us how advanced they were compared to us. The rogues doesn't want us to know about this. I'm going to call them Rogues because I have no other name for them other then CIA, Black ops, Government.. but the CIA and the Goverment are not bad people or agencies. I just use those terms since it's apart of the CIA and apart of our Government. I can go on and on about this but you can research and read up on what i've said at least a dozen times. it's recycled info. We get nowhere with it. When I first joined on here I had a lot of possitive input and people agreeing with me. Now everyone has had a change of heart and split or they just split.

am I redirected to a mirror site that isn't the real AU? I sometimes believe that but then the Ops get sad or mad about it. But if they're mirrored sites then they're mirror mods. I can't win.

As far as redirecting AU, no need Trogg. any half decent hacker can get into a site like AU and any others with little difficulty. The good hackers are not the ones that leave stupid messages to be used for bragging rights. The good hackers come and go and you would never know they have been there. There would be no need to "redirect" our governments have the people and tools to do whatever they want, they could take a snapshot of AU, they could hack into it and take every PM, every post if they wanted to. What you have to think about though Trogg is why would they want to. There is a lot of people out there with a much higher profile than you, me, or anyone on AU, asking some pretty uncomfortable questions. I cannot see that there would be a lot of interest directed at AU. I am betting the government has scripts that scour forums for keywords and so on, I am betting if anyone types the word "terrorist" a flag may jump up somewhere. But I don't think there is too much out of the ordinary happening here, certainly not redirected to somewhere.
As far as threats being made, I would make them public, if you are indeed being threatened then you should talk to the Authorities, if it is someone here then talk to the mods. No one should need to put up with that. Who is threatening you? Tell us and we will send the boys around for attitude adjustment

BTW.. Dundee.. i know I'm a bad speller and all but Trog is short for Trogladite. A Trogg is (According to wikipedia) a "simple form humanoid" I don't know if they're the same thing. Mine just means Cave dweller. When I grew a beard some years back, an online friend of mine told me I looked like a caveman. I thought of the film "TROG" from the 1970s and chose that name.
