In the broadest sense Christians are divided into two categories.. Catholic and Protestant. Protestants are divided into literally hundreds of types.. there are a number of Catholic types..the biggest and best known of course is the Roman Catholic. Baptists are a type of Protestant.

There are hundreds of splinter groups of Christianity, mostly came from the protestant reformation.
Roman Catholic
Protestant
Anglican/Episcopalian
Baptists
Calvinists
Lutherians
Methodist
Mormoms
Reformed latter day saints

Just a few to be going on with.
You don't have to adhere to one religion, if you believe in the teachings of Jesus, just go by the NT.

There is Catholic, full of flavor,
then there is Catholic Lite, with half the Carbs of regular Catholic (Which can be a good thing).
