Yesterday I was over my brother-in-law's house and he was watching this show, "escape to chimp eden," or some similar name. In this show, humans rescue chimps that have been abused and slowly try to introduce them to a social group of other chimps and get them to survive in a natural chimp-like environment. As I was watching their methodology and the chimp's reactions, I realized this is VERY similar to human interaction with extraterrestrials.

Chimps are social, intelligent and capable of intereacting with one another. But, they are not social enough to completely understand our interactions with the chimps. They are aware of humans, but do not completely understand our role in this planet. Their understanding of the world is limited to where they can physically get to.

Aren't humans the same when dealing with aliens? We're social, intelligent creatures, capable of intereacting and learning, but we are limited in knowledge of our own existance in the universe and may lack communication skills that higher evolved civilizations may have. Some of us who have had interaction with aliens are aware they exist, but we do not understand their role with our society. Our understanding of the universe is limited to where we can physically get to and what tools we can use to see.

chimps are kept within their habbit confines and we are kept within earth and short distances surrounding it

maybe aliens are studying and helping us in similar ways we do with primates. Perhaps we're seen the same way and we can't understand them completely in the same way chimps will never understand us. Any thoughts? dry.gif

johnny.....that is a very interesting theory......if the aliens are that advanced to be able to travel so far.....it would be like us studying mice.

yeah totally.

Literally every single thing I saw was comparable to human descriptions of alien encounters.

When you see a human interacting with a chimp for the purpose of drugging it to help it with an injury, you can't help but think about what it would look like from the chimps perspective. Now, if the chimp had the intelligence and verbilization to describe the encounter, it would seem very similar to descriptions of alien abduction.

"a 'human' came out of no where and gave me something that made me pass out. I woke up 2 hours later with cuts and scrapes. I felt naucious from the stuff they gave me. These abductions are real!!"

of course there would be backfire from other apes who have never witnessed any human interaction!! rolleyessmileyanim.gif
