Many would most definately associate an encounter of the the 3rd kind with isolated deserts, forests, remote areas and maybe residential housing.
For myself this was not the case atall, as 4 years ago I had a mild hypomanic episode which was enough to end up in my sectioning.
I had been placed in a high security facility which I was no stranger to due to previous episodes.
To be as brief as possible and not to go into to much detail, this was no ordinary ward and neither were the staff or procedures and medications administerd.
The things I witnessed the places I went and the physical changes and bizzare sensations I felt completely beggar belief.
Even now I still suffer flashbacks, strange nightmares and visions.
Now there is illness and there's reality and for a physciatric patient nothing that comes out of their mouth is to be beleived by Joe Public after all "your'e not well and very confused
is the only thing you talk yourself into believing after this has been drilled into your head by all and sundry even your best friend and partner.
This really was and maybe still is the Perfect setting for shape shifting highly powered entittees to play games with patients and test anything they like at any hour for me they certainly were carefree when it came to revealing their true form which at the time the sheer shock-horror nearly caused me to pass out or have a heart attack and I was only 23.
Am I one of a small minority? was it really all in my head? Before any of this ever took place I can remember seeing an episode of the new outer limits on T.V. and this was based on Aliens in a hospital which had the classic grey look about them.
If anyone knows anything or can shed any light this would be much appreciated.
