Welcome back! Is this your first child? As a dad, bit of advice:

1) Babies gotta cry. It's the only exercise they get. Babies that cry alot grow up big and strong. Babies that don't cry end up with weak hearts and lungs. They can't run, so the only way to get that heart rate up and expand those lungs is to cry and scream. Check 'em out to be sure nothing's wrong, but don't freak out. (my Dad's advice).

2) Enjoy EVERY second of this. Holding your baby for hours, you may think your arms are going to break, but someday they'll be too big to hold, and you can't have any more: that's when your arms really ache. The ache to hold a baby you can't have is worse than the ache of holding a screaming, squirming baby that you DO have.

Hey B-Leave, welcome back and congrats wavey.gif

You’re scared shitless, but lookin forward to it none the less… good sign, you’ll be a good father. Hubby was like that. he even lost consciousness when I delivered. Now, he is a really good dad, so don't worry... wink.gif

Bit of advice, as a mom: parenting is not written anywhere… do not start to buy books, just keep in mind that loving and caring and hugging them (like Kirin said) it’s all they need… (well, that plus lots of baby food, bottles, and diapers lol)…

By the way, what a great advice your father gave you Kirin wink.gif
