[v]As you know some aliens wouold treat us like crap and some would treat us like boyfriends or girlfriends. Has anybody any idea of how they treat eachother. Do the different groups and countries treat eachother like mutual creatures or do they war constantly? I've heard that they respect eachother and I've also heard that the reptoids are feared throughout the galaxy.

These threads might as well be premoting my book: I have had an idea on how other species would treat each other and us. I've used the very basic methods of describing them: The Malevolent Kind, the Beneficent Kind, and the Indifferent Kind. The Malevolent kind would be an aggressive type of species, and would likely use doctrine to enforce and justify their aggression. The Beneficent Kind would do the same, but in the name of brotherhood. The Indifferent kind have no strong credo and would likely do what they want. Your basic "good", "evil", and "neutral" kind of dispositions. You could expect what interactions between each other would be. What really maters is the power balance: If either Beneficent or Malevolent were stronger than the other, the would likely kill/recruit/change the other and we wouldn't have the sides for too long. So it is reasonable to suggest the two would be evenly matched. This would likely result in a kind of respect/stalemate of a type and it would be a catalyst or power disbalancing tip of the scales and then it would be all out war or what have you. The Indifferent would likely stay behind the scenes and get what they can out of the whole thing. This might be too black and white, but I think it would be the simplest way of describing different species and their dispositions.

You've given an idea but no factual information.

You've given an idea but no factual information. Reptilians are the malevolent kind. They see our warmongering as close to their own species ideals. Power and conquest drive the reptilians. Power and conquest drive many humans too. They see it and understand it. The conquest that they use in their own society is more refined and ritualistic. Much like in our society. We don't go and hit the boss over the head if we don't like what he says. We try to become the boss ourselves and conform to the rituals of the type of society that we are trying to enter and control. A congressman goes through election after election to promote himself among the electorate and holds parties and other things as befit his place in the scheme of things to promote himself to his fellow politicians. Only when he sees the chance to promote himself ( running for president for example ) will he change the way he does things and change his image as befits his promotion. ( The way to the presidency is not through congress, but through the senate so this is a extremely simplified example ) The beneficient kind are a bit more difficult to show to us as I don't know of any alien society that is truly beneficient. They may try to change our behaviour to keep us from trying to conquer them when we get to be a bigger threat. I had read about some supposed alien species that was teaching humanity and forcing our evolution, but don't know if that's true or not. The indifferent kind are just that. We are a scientific curiosity to them. We might have a different biology than theirs or a different outlook on life. They study us as entymologists study ant colonies. Breed us or just let us alone. All societies treat themselves as a more refined kind of power struggle. The malevolent kind has a ritualistic power struggle inside it's own government and the beneficient kind has more of a work ethic than reward ethic to government. High office is treated as an honour and a privilege to serve their fellow citizens. High office is not sought so much as endowed on the one who they think is worthy of the post. High office in this society is a great burden and the reward is pride in serving to the best of their abilities. ( Wish we had something like that in human society where our politicians try to do their best without thinking about personal gain. ) Indifferent societies would be a combination of these two ideals. More of one or the other might be in their choice of government, but it won't be completely one or the other. |

I think curiosity rules the day; but all like 'its not to become a threat...to us' which can be sophisticated in its methodology. The most stable type of creature is one harmonized with its inherent design, so such modification would also be to the species advantage...

reptoids are feared because, mammel, it is a species thing. even though you and they are sentient beings with culture and you are too big for 'Diana' to eat raw, the natural wariness is a normal thing and instinctive. mabye they are great guys, but you wouldnt want to trust them house-sitting hamster (read caged budwiser can)?
