Okay aliens arrive tomorrow and they are peaceful, and nothing bad happens there are no riots and religion does not collapse, do you think some people will be specist?

I assume you mean speciesism. Yes. I believe there would be a lot of it.

It would mostly be a humbling experience for our world.

How could religion.... as we currently know it.... still exist? Does anyone else see that the key to world peace and unity is to actually get rid of religion... at least as we currently know it. Once this happens, if it happens, we will finally be on the move from a type 0 civilization to a type 1.

Christians and the related religions would have no problem spreading the word to other worlds. If you re-read the bible with that in mind it actually works. But this doesn't need to be a religious thread ya?

No, I do not see it. Peace and Unity will be achieved when we can tolerate others. Such as what languages they speak, their culture, their nationality, their race, their traditions, political platform, religion etc.





Basically this whole UFO phenomenon is a religion itself;

1.) Everything is because of aliens. Such as our existence and the Bermuda triangle.
2.) The lack of proof is all because of the government cover-ups.



- You have not a evidence alien exist just as I have no evidence God exist.
- I believe God makes everything happen for a reason, you believe aliens make everything happen for a reason.
- I believe God has a plan, you believe aliens have a plan.
- etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

I don't know if it's the Key as such, but getting rid of religion would certainly go a very long way towards it

we do not get to a type 1 civilisation until we can control the weather and climate,can walk on mars, and have a base on the moon.type 1 is planetary.type 2 gallactic.type 3 interstellar.

i don't believe it will be a good thing.We humans are not a tolerant species,we don't take kindly to uninvited guests.The governments will see it as a risk to there hold on power and there creation(religion).it will throw religiuos factions in to turmoil,the people will riot,all hell will break loose.the aliens will become targets for a new kind of terrorist,they will call themselves the AAA(the Anti-Alien Army).this will destabiliise relations between us and them.They are now no longer benevolent.

No offense to anybody but there is alredy an aliens and religion thread. There will allways be those to crash the party. In my opinion I think there will som specism but if the aliens are as peaceful as they would say they would be I think they would just leave and never come back and not try to kill is all.

No, when/if there's peace and unity there will only be one language which will most likely be english. It's about moving from a type 0 to a type 1 civilization.

as for specism.

that only applies, in my observation, to guinea pigs. which is also, something that should and can be abolished...poor animals.

specism is a concept, and also, only applicable, if the "species" on top wants it.

my answer is, personally no, there will not be any specism, unless they choose to display themselves as so, i.e. as gods and such. and as long as they are benvolent, i dont mind, i am welcome to advice so to speak. if they are malevolent, i will fight, i dont care if they have 10000 years advanced technology.

as for religion being abolished. well that is going to take tons of effort in the self realization department.

its not religion thats the problem, its the vulnerability of the religion systems as they exist today.

First off, Religion collapse because of aliens? Are you kidding? It would grow exponentially. Your missing the fact that religion is not based off of aliens. Aliens brought religion with them and thus teh presence of aliens in religions. To the primitives of the time, religion was super advanced.

Well from what I've heard, one of the reasons why the government won't disclose the obvious truth to the mass public is because they fear that some religions will fall apart. At least that's what I heard. I do not personally hold anything against any religion I'm just saying what I heard.

Well that just doesn't seem to make any sence. First, because most governments, including the US, are secular states. Secondly, here in the US religions, their churches, institutions, schools, etc. are tax exempt, so the government would actually benefit from the collapse of religion. But that won't happen, most religions will be able to "absorb" the existance of aliens into their belief systems. There might be a few that might fall apart, but for the most part, since most religions are money-driven, they will find a way to integrate or exploit the fact.

What kind of question is that? we are the specist of all species in the Galaxy. If they arrive tomorrow in peace, religion, governments and financial systems would be affected some how if not collapsed at all, so yes, only good things will happen for sure, honestly.
