If it's real, it's horrible and it's proof.

Looks like the gov't damage control has jumped to claim that this is a "viral campaign" for a new movie, trouble is, the "movie" doesn't exist.

Simply an otter denuded of its hair.

I am unconvinced, clinically speaking more research is needed.

Last I heard from Cryptomundo, is that it was determined to be a racoon.

Wow, I must need to be "re-educated" because I don't see an otter or racoon there. I've never known those creatures to have that specific lower torso/hind leg configuration or that mouth/jaw. And how cooincidental for it to be washed up near Montauk, hmmmmm.

It's a raccoon:

Nope, don't buy it. Just like when the crooks always have this loooooong drawn out story to tell the cops when they've been caught, or the 20 min. reason why the bum at the corner needs $5, this article takes an hour and about 40,000 words to say "We want to believe it's a racoon."

Look how they even draw a nice racoon face on the pic of the carcus to 'prove' it. Classical psyops. The skull pic insert means nothing, since there are 100's of mamal species that have exceedingly similar skulls (ie, cats, otters, etc.). Those original pics of the creature are just too good and show too much detail. You can believe what you want, but I believe what I see, not what someone is going to try to convince me i'm seeing.

Busted!

I'm pretty sure they have DNA evidence to say it's a raccoon.

What do you want it to be? Another Government cover up?

Well, I would certainly appreciate a link to the DNA evidence, that would lend great credence to the racoon claim and I would then seriously consider it.

As far as another government cover-up, is it really that far-fetched? Surely I am not to believe that my gov't is all-righteous and would never ever genetically experiment on animals, right?

Whoops, I'm sorry I thought I read on a site that they did DNA tests but I was wrong. My bad... but here:

http://www.boingboing.net/2008/08/01/more-...he-montauk.html

That picture proves it doesn't have a beak. If anything, it's just a dead dog or raccoon. Nothing special. I'd spend more time on aliens or Bigfoot if I were you. No coverup here.

Thanks for the link, I've been on that site too. No, it don't look like ay dog or racoon I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty of dogs and hunted many a raoon. But hey, I'll just go my way on this one, gotta believe me old eyes, ya know.

Yeah you can trust your eyes but, I'd rather trust the experts. I'm sure you've seen many raccoons and dogs but how many of them were half decayed? I really do believe there's no cover up here... not for this anyway. If there was, they would have given us a ridiculous explanation that didn't make any sense at all. AT least here they provided pictures and expert analysis.

You may be right about there being no cover up, but that doesn't mean this creature is just a dog or racoon. And I have seen some pretty badly decomposed creatures in various stages (do a lot of huntin') and I can't say I've ever seen any of them look like this one. But I could be wrong. However, I don't think I would ever complacently "trust the experts" more than my own eyes. I'm too old and seasoned to write that kind of blank check. First the "experts" say that eggs are bad for you. Then they say they are not. Then they are again. Then they are only a little, but only on Tuesdays in months ending in "r". Nope.

its ugly as sin is what it is.

i too have done a fair share of hunting and have NEVER seen a racoon that looked like that... with or with out skin.

i would believe the photo is hoaxed (tampered) before i would believe its a racoon.

if thats a racoon... what happened to its face?

it doesn't look all that decomposed either. just bloated.

im not saying its a mutant, but it sure as hell isn't a racoon.

p.s. lol@ "re-educated"

aba.....I agree with you that is is an ugly looking carcass.....poor little guy.....but it has been decomposing.....(thats what causes bloating).....otherwise it would not have been floating.....the remaining fir left in the poor little guy is not indicative of a raccoon....but it does look like several kinds of dogs.......if memory serves a bulldog has prominent lower teeth and a smushed nose.....like this little guy and it does appear his snout has degraded/decomposed as well.... and he does have a short stocky body a short stocky body.

I do not believe its a hoax....or a coverup.....its just some poor dead critter (probably a bulldog) that drowned and then washed ashore.......it doesn't appear to be anything of great importance except for the family that lost their pet.
