When I look at this world, I can’t help but wonder if what we know is simply of our own creation.
In life there is a multitude of routes one can take to reach an end, its like a worm eating its way through an apple, it can go many ways and still reach the other side. So is it that people are like worms, eating their way through an apple?. I think there is nothing fundamentally different about a person who has no faith to a person who has faith, they still believe in something even if its nothing. while we are on our grand exploration of this life, we look for things to believe in, to discharge our will if anything else, and by our side we have desires that burn brighter than the sun, and an imagination that paints the stars. Together they are a dangerous combination, because if you desire something your imagination through innovation will make it yours. People claim to have found truth all the time, whether its in god, or in science. Both seem rational to an unbiased unassuming individual, and yet a priest thinks blasphemy of science and the scientist thinks stupidity of a religion. Science is closest thing to magic, and nature is the closest thing to an existing god. The lovely thing is that scientists can show you spectacular experiments to prove theories, and priests can show you nature and the beauties found in life to also prove theories. A scientist may say that we came here through a series of random events in our history. A priest may say that we are here, yet we do not need to be here. Both are theories both are sane. One favors probability, the other favors a mysterious creator. This post has been edited by PortionsofFoxes: Aug 24 2008, 12:35 AM |
