That's my thought as well: some kind of mold. It actually looks like a few kinds of fungi there. What's it growing on?

You know what? You guys are too good lol. I will think of another quiz. Problem is I don’t know when I can be back online again, but I will think of something wink.gif

Its scientific name is Rhizopus stolonifer, and it's a species of bread mold; it produces sporangia that bear sporangiospores (asexual spores).

The winners are FenStar and Kirin - winners of a Kewpie doll lol ... and TADA! of two xx each dry.gif

Ta very much...smile.gif

Isn't that type of mould dangerous to human, i seem to remember reading or watching someone who had to have their face removed due to breathing up these spores...??

Yes, bread moulds are infectious: Rhizopus can cause mucormycosis and, in diabetic patients rhinocerebral mucormycosis.

Another xx to Fen, for providing additional info lol rolleyessmileyanim.gif

I will be away for quite some time, so if this idea pleases you (the reader of this thread), then don’t make it die, post some mysterious photos, and let other members identify them. Have fun wink.gif

Looks like a hair, but the surface is really weird, fibrous. Antenna on an insect?
