I thought some folks might be interested in this even though it is rather old news.

And it may explain why the USA went off the Gold Standard back in 1971...lol “There is an earlier report (1972) in which Soviet physicists at a nuclear research facility near Lake Baikal in Siberia accidentally discovered a reaction for turning lead into gold when they found the lead shielding of an experimental reactor had changed to gold.”

But…lol “Because lead is stable, forcing it to release three protons requires a vast input of energy, such that the cost of transmuting it greatly surpasses the value of the resulting gold.”
Unless one has a vast supply of energy they are willing to use to mess with a World Gold Standard.

Better to use a currency.

Better yet, get rid of currency altogether and use ‘electronic dollars’? Chip implanted in one’s hand that can be scanned and the person’s account can be electronically debited… whoa
