OK I was talking to my friend and she started telling me how she thinks that People, Animals, The universe etc. Are just a part of another things DNA or something like that. Its kinda hard to explain. its kinda like we are cells in a body just like we have microscopic cells in our body....OK I know its hard to understand because im not good with words but Does anyone else think this is possible?? Because the more and more i think about it the more it kinda makes sense. Oh and feel free to move this somwhere else because i have NO IDEA where this thread should go.And someone give me a good title cuz i cant think of one :blush2:

Josh...I would go so far as to say that we are the living components of a much greater body and that our minds form a 'collective mind' within this greater entity...which I would call God.

The living components thing is part of what im tring to say but not God. What if we were like cells in a person just like me or you?? What if we were microscopic like the cells in our body? Do we know if the cells in our body know that they are cells in our body? It might be the same for us. WE might not realize it. Im not saying i 100% believe this im just writing what my friend said...but i do think it could be possible :confused:

well, lets think about it for a minute, Josh...lets say we, and this includes every human alive, are each an individual cell within another entity...that entity would have to be greater than the sum of all of us together and to us, if we had any awareness of our own selves, that entity would have to be our entire existence and we would have no awareness of anything outside of it...what better defintion for 'supreme being' could there be? Just as I am assuming that if even one of my cells is consciously aware of itself...it has no awareness outside of the universe which it exist in..which is me...in effect, I would be God to this simple little cell, regardless of whether or not it knew that I also had conscious awareness

WOW....Youre REALLY GOOD at explaining things. Do you think this could be a possibility??? But even if GOD is the being then how did the bible come to be and how would God be able to talk to is own cells? :confused:

I think its more than a possiblity...but really, I dont think it in such black and white terms...I think its more spiritual than anything else...that is to say that in each of your biological cells resides a 'trace' of your soul but this trace of your self need not have full awareness...it needs only the partial awareness..like the sleeping conscious...to do the thing that it is meant to do for the good of the entire self

God need not verbally 'talk' to each of its cells when the trace of the soul residing in the cell is a part of the greater collective whole, the God Self...that is we are aware of the things we need to do for the good of the entire self and that being the universal whole

As for the Bible, eh, I'm not really one to talk to about it...but I think bits and pieces of the Bible may indeed be divinely inspired...but that is something very different from 'literal divine truth spoken from the mouth of God'

This is kind of different, but kind of the same, but when I was younger I used to entertain the thought that solar systems were atoms in greater molecular structures, and atoms were tiny solar systems...on and on and on...
Modern science can pretty much completely disprove this theory completely, but it's still a neat thought.

Yup Kelly it's the "what is the world to Ants syndrome"? I used to think the same thing and I guess until someone can push beyond the known boundaries of the Universe it could still be possible.
