What the hell is Thanksgiving?

Good Thanksgiving Eve My Friends,
OK, I'm quite used to my life being odd but last night it was witnessed by the Hubby and he is as confused as I am. He is a very logical, left brain person who pats me on the head quite a bit.
Anyway, I have a little "Shark" vaccuum. It's one that picks up dirt and hair from hard wood or small nap carpet. It has a handle with a feature that allows you to push a button and the handle bends in the center which lets you run the machine under furniture without bending over.
There is only one way this handle goes into the machine. The ends are tapered so it cannot be reversed.
Well, last night, I take it out of the utility room and it IS reversed. The tapering has not changed, that's still the same but the handle and bending section are upside down. This is impossible to do and yet, it is done.
The Hubby looked at this thing for over an hour and cannot figure out how this happened. He is very knowledgeable with tools. He owns a hardware / lumber company so he usually has no problem figuring out the situation. Neither he nor I have touched it since the last time we used it and we have no household help and no one else lives with us.
So...how did this contraption suddenly meld itself into the opposite direction? It was on the charger when we had a pretty good lightning storm the other day but even with my very wide stretching imagination, I cannot fathom a way electrical surge alone could alter the material make up of the machine.
Just a day in the life of the Sage House.
Any ideas on what happened are most welcome.

It's good to have an open mind, but not so open that your brains fall out
haha...
It's a made up holiday, IMO. I celebrate it as more of a Harvest Festival.
Basically, it's a designed holiday to supposedly acknowledge the first harvest of the pilgrims from the Mayflower voyage to New England.
It had been a really rough year and the pilgrims had barely survived but, with the help of the local Natives, they made it thru and had a harvest feast.
I don't know how much of this is fact and how much of it is made up in order to facilitate the holiday.
I personally think we, as Americans were, at the time (early 1900's) mostly immigrants from Europe and harvest celebrations were engrained in our DNA. America didn't have one so we made one up.
But, I've gotten into more arguements over the years about my opinion of made up and Christian holidays. haha. So, I keep my opinions to myself...most of the time.![]()
well, does the vacuum still work? maybe 'they' thought it looked better that way lol
so if it works, that's good, if not, maybe they don't like that vacuum, i don't know...'course you know i have similar 'odd' things like you :: it IS kinda trippy, tho, when it happens, i know...i don't know if i would worry too much, someone just havin' some fun with you, sage..
hope your holiday is lovely ::
thecactus..Thanksgiving is suppose to be a day to reflect on things in your life that you are thankful for...no matter your religion...It took off sometime in the 19th century, and is a bastardized celebration that came from England, "The Harvest Fest", where folks always wanted to eat fowl..(we eat Turkeys)..The Mayflower, and Plymouth Rock, are used to propagate the fictional history that English peoples were the first to settle in America.
If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.
