    Default Working out.

I have started working out a while ago just to keep in shape (not tying to body build or anything), but I dont know any decent exercises, and more importantly, I dont know what types of food are best.

If anyone has any info on this, I would appreciate it.

ahhhhhhhh contact...here is the simple truth
I used to be a physical trainer.....

eat every two to three hours under 200 calories each time and drink an 8 oz glass off GOOD water with it....it matters not what it is.....as long as it is under two hundred calories..and you stop eating by 7 pm...you should only be ingesting 1200 calories,,,,,...HONEST, but the point to this is that when we continuously eat, our matabolism is working hard at burning fat....
when we allow ourselves to get over hungry our metabolism doesnt work as hard at burning fat....
when we wake in the AM we should be eating something tiny, (I eat every morning a frozen waffle PLAIN) just to allow the metabolism to start to work...........once that metabolism starts to work, your energy increases and then burning the fat icreases....eat every two to three hours thre after....but only 200 cals....read your lables....
however IF you dont eat in the AM, and choose to eat only 3 times a day, your energy level decreases as your metabolism is not being fed...it does however start to burn muscle versus the fat....and then we lose no weight and cannot control the weight....
I have been the same weight of 135 for two years, not a gained pound not a lost pound....and I stand 5'8 and am 40..........

I swear to you this works....its about reprogramming your body and your brain to eat properly... to go back to its original state....

many women at the gym that I worked at, look fab now...and they dont work out any more.....they do stay active....but now they need not to bust their butts on tred mlls for 45 minutes or a completey exhausting cardio workout...
    I also taught step class....

honestly, try this for about three months.....be honest....dont cheat....
    it really honestly works....

    hugs
    and good luck
    goddess

    McDonnalds and coke.
Nah, just try and keep meat lean and white(that provides the protein to build muscle, without the bad shit of red meat) , and veggies are important to keep your vitimins up and of course complex carbs(the kinds that aren't sugars) are important to fuel muscle.
It all depends what your goals are though: Bodybuilders take in atleast 30% of their calories from protein.

Yes thats important. Splitting your meals into about 5-6 meals a day keeps your matabalism high, thus giving your workouts maximum punch and fat burning effect also...

I appreciate all your help, but I'm simply retarded when it comes to counting the carbs and picking out ....."complex carbs".....??.

I normaly try to eat a couple eggs and some toast in the morning (but many times I have opted for the quick fix ie. cereal... = cherios).

Through the day I usually snack on ordinary fruits (bannanas, apples, oranges...)

My folks own a bar so I get a lot of grilled chicken and BBQ syle steaks (I try to stay away from the deep fried).

If someone would'nt mind explaining the carb ratios......or, just more advice, that would be great.

Again, thanks for all the tips.
