This line of thinking, although i generally agree with you, runs the fine line of evolving into a genocidal regime. GOD summed it up nicely with his einstein scenario; everyone (barring those with some kind of disability, especially mental retardation; but even some of these people are able to contribute to society), even thieves and criminals (except extreme sadists like torture-murderers - even though they may have something to contribute they are far too dangerous to be living among us) has something they are at least good enough at to turn into a job, or failing that, as the old saying goes, the world needs ditch-diggers.
Im reminded of the movie "idiocracy"; the scene where first two married intellectuals discuss how its not the right time to have a baby and they will carefully plan when to expand their family, then cutting to a scene of two "hicks" living in a trailer with a bunch of kids running around, with the wife saying "goddammit, im preggo again!".
Such is life, and without violating the inalieable rights of a lot of human beings, there is really nothing we can do. Things will balance themselves out again when either: we are able to turn modern medicine into a genetics-based science instead of a mostly symptom-suppressing profession, some sort of natural or man-made disaster strikes and the remaining survivors again find themselves clubbing each other to death and survival of the fittest once again takes over.
Also, i freely admit that I have too many flaws to count, but at the same time I am a contributing member of society. If I met you, although you may contribute all the same, I could point out a few glaring flaws within a few hours, and if i really got to know you I could produce a laundry list. So you, nor anyone else, is so above the rest that they should be entrusted with sterilizing, killing, or even abolishing free healthcare for the disabled population when they really need it and letting them cruelly suffer and die in the streets. So live and let live, and take comfort in the fact that someday (perhaps soon) we will undoubtedly annihilate most (if not all) of our population so that only a stalwart few may be left to let the mighty and terrible jaws of nature take the reigns once again
