Allot of you would be aware that you can add plug-ins and add-ons to fire fox. Below are two i just installed that work really well!

These two below stop those annoying adds and reduce the amount of bandwidth you have to pay for.

Just go to my blog and there's a link to a bunch of them. I hate advertising like this, but I don't feel like listing all of them again.
No one will ever totally agree with anyone else. This is life.

Some favourites of mine, in addition to Ad-Block Plus, which has already been mentioned, are:

Direct Link. Firefox already enables you, with the right-click menu, to search Google with the search string being the highlighted text. Direct Link enables you to highlight a web address that is not already a hyper link (we see many of those) and open it as a link with a right click. It also enables you to use some highlighted text as a Wikipedia search string. It could be perfected in my opinion with the addition of a dictionary.com search feature. I used to have an extension called Hyperwords with some similar functionality (and you might well say more powerful) with regards to using highlighted text to search other reference sites, but I noticed that it was causing long start-up times in Firefox so I stopped using it. I might re-evaluate the latest version, though, now that I think of it.

IE Tab. This enables you to open a link in Internet Explorer in a tab within the Firefox browser. This is useful for comparing the difference between how IE displays a page and how Firefox displays a page, particularly if some page content does not work correctly in Firefox if the page is configured for IE. Sometimes embedded Windows Media Player videos do not work for me in Firefox, but will work when I open the page in IE Tab.

I use Flashblock, which stops all Flash content from loading unless I specifically allow it, this stops many irritating and bandwidth-consuming Flash adverts and reduces page load times if you just plain hate Flash. However, I have been shown a more versatile add on that performs the same function for all scripts, I just cannot remember the name.

I like some others that don't work in Firefox currently, like Remove Cookie(s) for Site, Tab Mix Plus and Faster Fox (which I used purely for the page load timer). I used to have @nonymouser, which would let you open a link in @nonymouse, but looking at the page for that now, someone suggests that it now includes advertising, where before it did not.

I also use a spell checker add on which is checking the spelling as I write this now, so I need never misspell a word on a web forum again, but there are different pages for it on the Firefox extension website depending on what dictionary you would like to use (e.g. American English, British English).
