    Default Metro 2033

    Well, game review time.
I have just finished Metro 2033 and it is in my opinion one of the best first person shooters I have ever played. A great atmosphere, great creatures and most importantly, finally decent AI. Still not quite how I would have done it but better than most on the market now. Set in post apocalyptic Russia it is very dark and brooding but some of the underground scenes are just spell binding. I found myself just wandering around the camps listening to conversations and enjoyoing the atmosphere. Can't comment on a console version as I am a purist. But the PC version I highly recommend.
    10/10 for me.

The specs would gobble up my computer but I've heard some good things about it.

    I use 64 bit windows.
Steam will install but will not run game apps.
A shame because 64 bit platform drivers have really fast hardware accelerations.
And I just cannot bring myself back to using 32 bit platforms.
Just the boot time makes me crazy.
Even old game formats like Starcraft run.
What in the hell is wrong with those steam people?
It ran in the background eating bandwidth but delivered no value.
And invited Buy.com to deliver one spam email a day.
So Steam as far as I am concerned is a pain in the ass.
    Whatever works, use it.

A good idea stands on its own value independent of authorship.
If it stands or falls on the credibility of the author, maybe it isn't such a good idea.

Default Preparing gamers and kids for reptilians?!?

So i was curious about that cartoon film called how to train your dragon and i watched it and this idea came to my mind that if they want kids to prepare and meet the reptilians as friendly pictures
And of course as i said that i am interested in FPS games (don't ask) i saw this trailer and it also has reptilians

Coincidence , well guess what i don't believe in coincidences as everything that happens have a meaning

I just finieshed 2033 and it is a the best FPS I have ever played. There is a pretty even mix of monsters mutants and spooks. i didn't feel it was pushing any reptilian agenda. They were just critters to me. Never even occurred to me that they may be reptiles. I was too busy shooting the buggers.
    Great game!!!

What about the "dark ones" in metro 2033
Don't they remind you of the greys?

Yes, they did, but there are plenty of games out there that have aliens in them.

It is as if they are telling us the greys are good and that we need to stop wars to evolve ... look:

    All they want is peace

I wanna play that game, shame it isn't out for the PS3, looks rather good.

Another game with aliens in is resistance. That isn't quite as friendly as the first one is attempting to holding back an alien invasion. And Resistance 2 is about pushing back these aliens, and in the end, killing the primary leader so they can be defeated.

Area 51 is another game involving aliens, though I've never really played it.
Deadspace is a wonderful game, taking place on a starship, where an alien parasitic race converts the crew of the U.S.S. Isiumura (I think, going from memory here) into a violent, deadly race.

Aliens are a very popular theme, due to the variety of styles you can build off it.
Deadspace, for example, is pretty scary. When you're facing the twitchers, who move extremely fast you're liable to just curl up in the corner of a room scared to move in-case one gets behind you.
On resistance, it's always fun to go Rambo style. Grab the biggest, fastest gun you can, run right into a swarm of them and unleash hell!
