tv/radio sound on speaker?

i heard noise sound like tv commericial or radio or music radio coming from the computer speaker when the computer is off before. now i hear it on the earphone connected to the computer when the computer is on.

i even adjust pc volume to 0 and still hear... but very low noise. sometime instrumental and sometimes voice talk like talk show or commericial.

is this normal? science stuff? or.......... ???????????????

sometimes it can be a cross signal if its a radio

sounds like electromagnetic induction to me, turn everything else in your room off and see if it still happens, if it does, go round the house and isolate each tv/radio etc.. one by one, turning back on once you have checked to see if there is a change. If you find it is a piece of equipment somewhere else in the house, you may want to get it checked as there could be an earthing problem with it.

I have some wireless headphones i used to use to watch tv at night and sometimes i moved my head just a little i could hear voices - i would freak out and get out of bed and look around - it did it for a few weeks - 1 day i was watching something good so went for a pee with them on so i never missed what was being said - and as a went down the stairs - the radio came on in my headset - dont know how but that was what i had been hearing for weeks

Grounding, making sure every appliance is grounded so any electric discharge can safely go away instead of seeking another way to get out.

Damn i can imagine that i would hurt :S I did a Electronic education before doing IT, and i got 230V a lot! Because our school was more of "cheap" then safe hehe. In the face is something you don't want to experience!

lol - it was an old stereo made out of metal - i never did the plug properly and as i bent down to plug it in my face touched the stereo as the plug entered - bang!!!**** - i had a fizzing tongue for a few days - and a greater respect for electricity!
