Hey all came across this link today, found it pretty interesting. I was wondering if anyone had any further info on this?
http://www.pureinsight.org/pi/index.php?news=1582 Also I am trying to do some research on the previous advanced civilization theory, but finding it very hard to find any good credible sources on anything, does anyone have any good links they would like to share?

I just finished re-reading this amazing piece of work for the 6th time this week, I just cant believe how well it was written, researched and concieved. In my view by FAR the best piece of literature, science fiction or not, in history. Big claim I know, but my god you can only get that sense after reading the books. Anyone else here read it? Id so what are your opinons? Also have you read any of Kim's other works? I read '40 signs of rain' and really put it down at the end thinking 'what was he thinking?'
He makes up for it though with the Mars Trilogy. Love to hear your favorite characters as well, I know he had a bad side and kinda killed the first guy on Mars, But I loved Frank Chalmers, his last act was one of complete selflessness. Thoughts, comments, anything!

Hi i havent actually started a new thread here before so hope this comes out right.
One night a few years ago, my father told me I used to speak to an old lady in my bedroom at night when I was a small child. This was apparently when I was around 4-5 years old, my dad mentioned this to me when I was about 18. Apparently I used to have an old lady come into my room as a kid and she would sit on my bed with me and we would talk. As a kid i must have mentioned this to my parents, probably not thinking anything was out of the norm. I dont remember any of this, But i wish I did. My dad isnt the kind to make this stuff up, and i thought maybe i just had the whole experience in my head, but why would i have an old lady as an imaginary friend? I have written off the possibility of it being a dead relative (both my grandparents at the time were alive, and I didnt really have any other older relatives (none that I would have known, and were dead anyway) Any thoughts on this? I just wish I could remember for myself

This may sound kinda silly, but i used to spend a lot of time playing Sims 2. I kinda started to wonder if we are but a part of some simulation or program, we act for the most part autonamously but may be directed around by others, all without our knowledge. Its kinda like the Matrix/ some other movie I cant remember (some game that these people were playing, turned out the real world was also a game, or something, was many years ago)
Basically yeah I was just wondering if anybody has contemplated this before? Please note I really dont believe this is true, just wondering if its possible or not cheers |
