Thread: First dream starring a "grey," OH BOY!

Why is it my alien-related dreams are always the most vivid? It's been that way for 2 years now. No part of the dream was embellished, it is written just as it happened.

I've never believed in grey aliens, at least as they've been portrayed, glamourized and anthropomorphized by the general public and Hollywood (whatever you'd like to call the mainstream film industry), but the other morning I had a dream that gave me a flash of insight into what it may be all about.

Now, I don't believe that I've ever been abducted; I've had sleep paralysis, but never have I felt that I'd been molested by anything, extraterrestrial or not. Nor do I feel I've been taken aboard an extraterrestrial ship other than those I saw in my dreams. I've seen a few shows and maybe a movie about grey alien abductions, but for the most part I never watch TV or movies dealing with UFOs or extraterrestrials.

I've never had a dream about greys, at least not like this. One I had recently, but I am not sure if that even counts as they did not look like greys to me. I might go into that a little later.

The Dream:

I was sitting at a computer in a dimly lit, cluttered room within a large, two-story house I've never visited. It was night, maybe 9:30-10:00pm, and I was waiting for my boyfriend to get back as we had something planned. The house was not ours but probably a friend's, and someone I didn't recognize (within my real life) was downstairs going about some unknown business.

As I instant messaged with my boyfriend on his cellphone (something we do often in reality), I was doing my usual internet research and surfing—very mundane activities, but it made the dream feel even more realistic.

The room I was in was situated across the hall from another room, which looked to be someone's bedroom as it had a large bed and dresser. It was also dimly lit by a small lamp in the corner. In the room I was in, the computer was on a desk placed so that I was facing the door, and it was at this point in the dream I saw a small figure out of the corner of my eye move towards the bed at a fast pace and watch me. Before I could look straight on at it, it disappeared back towards the bathroom in that room, which was to the left and out of sight from where I sat. I ignored it but was thoroughly creeped out. I assumed I had either been seeing things or it was a kid that lived in the house, unbeknownst to me.

Mere seconds later the same thing happened, and again before I could look it was gone. I noticed that it seemed to be blurred to my vision as well, as if it were attempting to cloak itself somehow and was failing. I noticed it was all one colour—a grey-brown, perhaps. The figure appeared and disappeared one more time and I was finally fed up and fairly afraid. I went to investigate.

I stood up and waited to see the movement again, and when I did I walked quickly into the room. This took a considerable amount of courage as, I mean, who wants to go after something like that?

When I got in the bedroom I found the entity immediately to my left. Instead of it displaying a fight or flight response it tried to quell my fear (and subsequent aggression) by "sweet-talking" me through telepathic messages such as "I mean no harm," "please, I come in peace," and other such cliché alien phrases. These were not in the form of real words, simply "felt" or interpreted.

The "grey" didn't look like the ones you see with large, wrap-around black eyes (like the one I did) but looked a lot more like this one—amazingly non-alien and very human. In fact, it reminded me of a naked, grey, sickly child; it was very thin with a large, bulbous head. Its head was actually what made it rather alien as it was overly large, strangely shaped and sported two, shiny, coal black eyes. Its legs were stick thin near the ankles, and the entire being was no more than 4 feet tall.

I felt it was up to no good, and I felt this so strongly that I was compelled to subdue it physically myself. I wasn't sure what I was doing, but I grabbed it (by the arms, if I remember correctly) and slammed it down on the bed on its belly. I sensed that it was either injured already or sickly, but later on I considered this was a ruse to stop me from harming it. Once it was on the bed, I took its arms behind is back and held them as if I were going to handcuff it. What then happened was a struggle, but not a physical one. While myself and the being were perfectly still, it tried to paralyze and control me through telepathic suggestions, and it filled me with terror. The terror, I realized even in the dream, was from the grey, and I was able to control myself despite the powerful instinct to flee.

The struggle became too much, and I was paralyzed long enough for it to get free. The thing was I actually lost consciousness...this is something I haven't experienced in a dream like this before. It was a fleeting loss, but the feeling was very real. The grey had gotten up and was heading for a window in the room, but I made my moves fast. It was now emitting powerful feelings of aggression and anger, filling me with all sorts of horrid emotions. Nevertheless, after screaming for help to the person downstairs, I picked up a metal rod that was near the closet (I think it was the metal rod for hanging clothes—this place was not in the most organized state) and hit it on the side of the head...hard. It fell, and I grabbed it and the man from downstairs appeared. I told him to help me hold the being down and he did. We got it to the bed again, and it was already regaining itself, fighting us with the telepathy. I briefly and breathlessly explained what had happened to the guy from downstairs, but I didn't need to explain what the grey was. The guy was terrified and he said my boyfriend was on his way. Of course, my boyfriend had no idea what was happening. We planned on getting this thing out of the house and somewhere via said boyfriend's car...but we didn't know where to go. We wanted to give it to the authorities and we wanted it to be somewhere locked up. It seemed imperative, and already I felt a sinking in my chest. I felt like it would be too late for us and we wouldn't get it out of here, it would win.

The dream faded from there with no conclusion. I really hate that. WHAT HAPPENED THEN?
